This is what winning teams do. We spotted Brooklyn a 12-0 lead, scored 4 points in the first 6 minutes of the game, shot like ass from 3 all night, and still managed to find a way to win. Shoutout to your 2024 MVP Jason Tatum for keeping us in this one.
This game shows how much important JB is to the team more than we know
JT will never retire till he gets that buzzer beater game winner jumper.
I enjoyed the game that I grow some white hairs due to stress. Goodnight guys
I’ll take the win any way it comes, but the rebounding battle was absolutely brutal
Can we give PP the game winners now
Celtics win baby!
TATUM MVP
PRITCHARD 6MOTY
NEEMI MOST IMPROVED PLAYER
JOE MAZZULLA COTY
We can handle either KP or brown being out but not both. They’re noticeably worse since brown went down. Just gotta keep scraping out wins until brown comes back at this point. Any win is a good win right now
Tatum showing Denis some love after the game
That’s all I need
Such a shame the Celtics can’t win clutch games
That left handed skip pass off the dribble to Horford was one of the best passes of the year
GUYS I THINK I LIKE WINNING
Great great win!
Lmfao Tillman played the first 6 minutes and Joe said that’s enough of that for the rest of the game
You can hate all you want. But sometimes an ugly win is a real win. Especially when you’re depleted.
Games are not going to be easy without our 2nd and 3rd option. We got it done in the end and that’s all that matters
Good lord… this was something
The King’s of the 4-1 stretch … Go 4-1 in the second five game stretch of the season
TatuMVP
Al biggest shot of the night
PP 6 MOY
Let’s kill the Bucks again
I need brown back soon, although we getting some entertaining games cuz of it
Celtics stole one. Nets finally have some swag back but still not clutch
We survive a Cam Thomas masterclass missing 2 of our top 3. Good stuff.
Good gritty team win
🚨BAD BEAT ALERT🚨
Celtics were favored by -4.5. Some poor schmucks probably had a lot of money riding on that last FT 😂
Ugly win, but still a win. Starting to miss JB on nights like tonight. This team relies on it’s depth and without JB and KP every game feels like a dogfight.
Scal said it best, teams are literally fiending to play us competitively. IN THE REGULAR SEASON. Teams who won’t sniff playoffs.
Celtics gonna raise banner 19 coming soon.
Ppl in the game thread saying we’re not playing at a championship level. Yeah, no fucking shit, we literally down TWO starters
After the horrendous start, we battled back to get the W. A lot of clutch plays the close out the game. JT takeover!
Celts rebounded w/ a gutsy win over d inspired Nets as they restore momentum on their title retention…
For anyone who needs to hear this: WE WILL BE FINE! We’re not healthy and the majority of our guys played into fuckin June. Let JT and PP ball out. I don’t care if any of our guys are gunning for individual awards this season, as long as keep winning at a decent clip. They deserve it!
Pritchard might be my favorite celtic
That’s a fun Nets team. Kinda reminds me of their pre-“Super Team” Nets that was a solid play in team. Schröder and Prichard was a fun matchup
Solid win though. We play again in Brooklyn in 5 days
COME BACK JB
jk take your time homie
Jayson Tatum tonight:
33 Points
9 Rebounds
6 Assists
2 Steals
1 Block
Tatum continues his MVP campaign.
The Warriors blew their quanta against us and fell to the streaking Cavs. Cleveland is going to be a hell of matchup later this month!
Shot 14-53 from 3 and still won. Generated a ton of good looks. I’ll take it.
If they shoot 23-53 (or whatever it would have been in regulation) it’s a blowout, so I’m not going to sweat it. Take wins however you can get it when you’re missing $85m and 2 top 25 players.
Credit to the Nets and the coach, how well prepared and played the game. Tillman was a bonus that set the trend of the regular time. I hope lesson’s learned.
Bucks are playing like shit, but they will give the C’s a VERY good game at home on Sunday. If Brown doesn’t play, the Celtics can absolutely lose that game (they might lose it even if Brown plays). Celtics look a little tired and vulnerable.
Lucky. You need one single point. How is the last shot in regulation a contested three???
We over came a 13-2 deficit and a shitty first 8 minutes along with playing catch up. 2 all stars are out too. We will be even better when they return, right now it’s about winning what we can and getting our players healthy and ready come April May and June
Well, that was closer than I’d hoped – but I’ll take it. The Nets played hard & even Simmons showed flashes…
It’s pretty crazy that it took two injured stars and one injured role player to finally make the Celtics look like an average team.
I hate the Tatum step-back at the buzzer as much as anyone, but there’s some weird doomer-ism on this sub. Team is 8-2 with injured starters, Tatum is MVP-caliber, and we’re seeing some nice leaps from Pritchard and Queta. jfc.
