Marchand is the Hero | Bruins Game 15 Recap | Bruins sign Defensemen

The Boston Bruins won 4-3 overtime over the Calgary Flames last night. Montogmery put the lines in a blender again, but Marchand and Lindholm are developing chemistry. Pastrank and Zacha had a great game as well, and the top 2 lines drive the offence for the Bruins.

The Boston Bruins signed defenseman Loke Johansson to a three-year, entry-level contract.

  1. Sloppy defensive zone play again especially in the 3rd period. Coyle finally seemed to get his skating game going. Don't know what they can do to help Zadorov stay out of the box. Happy for the win but still a long way to go to raise the level of play to get it back to where it should be.

  2. I thought we played a decent 60 minute game..for once. With a lead we did not crawl inside our shell and play half the ice. They may have got the 2 goals but credit Calgary not blame our defense. Montgomery is bang on in that our defense have to start banging the puck on net and above all get it there. I feel our defense can't seem to miss a defender to get the puck through a lot of times. Was happy with the game and outcome obviously. Calgary plays us tough at home lol

  3. Good game.
Bruins did their traditional brain farts blowing a lead – but this time they were the Bruins again, and got it back.

    Keep the czech boys together

Charlie Coyle is a battleboard warrior.
We need to appreciate him for what he does and how he does it. On his knees!

Joonas looked a little JV last night. But he took responsibility for that first brain fart goal. That was his shoulder rolled forward, his blocker was out of position

I used to lose my voice yelling to goalies to "keep that damn blocker up! Shoulders back!"

But I liked his postgame interview… 'That goal was on me.'

Felt a little bit of progress this game.

Yet I don't think we can rely on 36-year-old Bradley Kevin Marchand to pull off games like this all the time, all season long…

But it was great to see him succeeding.

Thanks for the update and recap.
Going to go look at Johansson highlights right now

That was a quick covid recovery!

I guess you just needed a Bruins win!

    Hope you feel better soon

    Go Bears!

  4. I believe the penalties keep happening is because they’re to slow. Sweeney even said he was going to get more speed. He got bulk. TJ starting on the 1st line is odd. But, I feel Monty is just trying to figure out where he fits in. I don’t know what’s up with Lohrei. He shows signs of playing really well then he has shifts where he’s lost. Poitras, I feel is maybe “seeing ghosts” when he’s on the boards. Korpi played another great game. I’m sure he would have loved to have gotten that second goal back. It’s a “DUB” and we’ll take it. But, they need to stop blowing the lead.

  5. It was a great game yes I have more grey hair today then I did yesterday morning but happy they won. Lil Z looked better and I cant believe jim broke up the 4th line again but it resulted in a goal so I can't complain. Also great content everytime!

  6. Bruins almost lost the game…3-3 in overtime could have gone either way. Win in 60 minutes I would have been more confident. Thanks 🙏 for your take ❤❤

  7. Enjoyable game they played a little more tenacious. But they spent a lot on their defense and need more offense from them.
And fix the special teams it's not good. They have a long way to go to turn it around. A long and winding road.

  8. I think these guys are still trying to click with each. I was skeptical they would protect a one goal lead in the 3rd. Happy Marchand redeemed himself backhanding a winning OT goal. His penalty lead directly to a Flames goal. They really need to focus on staying out of the Box.

  9. on the 1st and 3rd goals, the Bs goalie looked like the guy that usually drives the zamboni and suits up when the real goalie gets run over. beer league stuff. humpy looks better offensively so his game is now halfway there. marchand is getting warm after staying with his own rebound after that beautiful feed from the other lindholm twin. his strip sack behind the net in OT was a thing of beauty for this old timer and a hint of the fundamental hockey this team needs to build upon in a big way. ( winning a 1 on 1 puck battle allows a teammate to be in front of the net. ) still, monty's prevent D surrendered a two goal lead after being lucky to survive against the kraken over the weekend. pro tip to monty : when your team D sucks, do not go to it to ice a game.
