  1. Don't agree Arod signed with Texas when they were Bad too get the dollars and the team was looking to get more people in the seats .I feel like this will be the same..Also Giants have been looking for a Big name …Can't get any bigger , we will see that is all about the dollars and I'm a Big Met Fan and I don't think he's coming here.

  2. The strategy for Soto should be to drive up the price and years as long as possible and NOT be the winning bid. Hamstringing a team for years is the goal. More often than not, long term contracts do not work out. At some point in time, everyone pulls back on focus on the game when you have that much money.

  3. well. Are we really suppose to accept that these 2 men will hang out with this woman with purple hair..That they grab a beer after the leave? Unless she can really contribute. This just looks like someone trying to fit a circle in a square?

  4. Baseball salaries have gotten so ridiculous and out of control. Take heed of the Angels with Mike Trout and Anthony Rendon. I know Soto is a lot younger than they are, but I say let someone else give him the money and let them deal with the headaches of long, guaranteed, uncapped contracts.

  5. All the Dodgers need to say is: Ohtani deferred his salary in the coming seasons, batting order in 2025 will be Betts, Ohtani, Soto, Freeman, Teoscar, Muncy, Edman, Smith, <insert anyone>
