Things Aren’t Looking Great for Victor Wembanyama

Victor Webmanyama’s second season isn’t starting off how he hoped it would. Instead, Chet Holmgren is taking the Year 2 leap we all thought Wemby would take. This is a look at what’s going on with both of the top-2 rookies from last year.

  1. One video praising Wemby, then now, assuming what he'd become?

You got us. Thanks. This will age real quick. — and oh, too early to tell things aren't great for Wemby. 😂😂😂

  2. Now you just sound like another disgruntled rockets fan. Less than 10 games into the season and you're making it sound like Wembys a bust. 😂 OKC playing great, Spurs still trying to get in sync with two key players out now.

  3. Are you serious? So we are gonna not acknowledge Wemby's a first option on a young team and Chet is a third option playing with a MVP level player on a stacked team. See this is why people lose credibility. Wemby faces triple teams. Has Chet EVER been double teamed?

  4. Bro this is a bad take this time. The defense on wemby is really different. Did you watch the thunder vs spurs? Wemby got double or triple team. Chet didn't get that. The easy take is swap both players then do the talking. Also Wemby got more historic numbers on his rookie season than Chet.

  5. Chet is in his 3rd year of NBA development.

I will say for the spurs faithful who think they have this grand plan for Wemby will have another thing coming. They might have a completely different coaching staff next year. If they had any sense they would have drafted Zach Eddy with their second 1st round pick. Then they could take away some of the wear and tear Wemby would get when he posts up.

  6. Wembanyama copium is strong in these comments. Wemby is coddled and always has been. Until there is 1 ounce of accountability he will never be maximized.
