Hemmed in by two Senators, Engvall uses his skating to exit the zone with control, blazes through neutral zone, settles for a low percentage shot from the outside (not bad per se, maybe you get a rebound), then gets muscled off while trying to follow up. A microcosm of what makes him both tantalizing and frustrating as a player.
And shit like that is why Roy, and most of us can’t stand him. Never wants to drive closer to the net. Just stay at the perimeter and not fight for the puck. Great contract Lou🤦🏻♂️
Dude is a straight up passenger just waiting to get home to hit up the gym
(I’m the same but I’m not representing the NY ISLANDERS as my vocation)
Honestly everything before the shot is entirely lacking from the other forwards not named Barzal so he’s still a net-positive, but yeah…. so frustrating.
He was known to have some of the best zone exit numbers before the islanders picked him up
