  1. Stop- please just stop for once in my life can we give a QB support and not look for ways to trash him before he’s even cashed his signing bonus?

  2. Caleb has more wins through 8 games than Bryce young has career. How many of these stats for Bryce were put up in garbage time after being blown out?

  3. Well, I think I see that Caleb is better in nearly every category. Extrapolate that to 17 games, and he has an extra game worth of passing yards, a far better TD/INT ratio, and a not insignificant passer rating difference. You just trying to do a gotcha? Let me guess, we should draft Shadeur Sanders next year?

  4. It shows two incompetent franchises not being able to support their QB. However, Caleb definitely is him. He will be fine as long as a great coach is hired next season (management doesn’t have the balls to fire Flus).

  5. It’s pretty common for qbs to start off pretty rough, both the ones who eventually become great and the ones who remain ass. It wasn’t Bryce Young’s first 8 games that made people give up on him, it was his lack of improvement over the next 8 games and how pathetic he looked at the beginning of his second season.

  6. So oddly enough I have both of them on my dynasty team (I know) so I watched nearly all their starts and they look and feel entirely different. Young looked overmatched and under skilled. The team around him was trash but even when things went right he couldn’t take advantage. Caleb looks awesome when things go right but the team does that so rarely. Even with that, Caleb can manufacture things when shit breaks down. If the team around him needs that on 10% of plays instead of 70% he will be awesome. I traded young after week 2 this year because I just don’t see it. He might be a qb 3 but I don’t see much of a ceiling beyond that. Caleb can be a top 5 qb if they give him a chance.

  7. You’ll never convince a fan base that vehemently defended Cutler, Trubisky, and Fields that there is anything wrong with Caleb despite the facts. Sure, it isn’t all his fault but the majority won’t accept any criticisms hence the downvotes.

It’s no mystery why he has accuracy issues considering he hovered in the 60% in college compared to someone like Jayden Daniels who was in the 70% and you can see how that’s translating in the NFL. Without proper coaching his problems will never get fixed either causing him to regress further with the occasional outlier games.

  8. People are mad your posting this comparison because they were on here 6 months ago calling him “special” or “generational” and he’s proven to be neither. Add that to the fact that JD looks phenomenal and you have a bunch of bitter Bears fans that will tell you to stop piling on our QB when they were the ones doing the same thing a year ago.

  9. I’m gonna get downvoted to hell but Caleb has been disappointing, not nearly what he was hyped up to be and not an “instant upgrade” like everyone said. He has the least passing yards of QBs who’ve started every game this season and the worst completion percentage. You can make excuses all you want but the reality is that Caleb is performing marginally better than fucking Bryce Young with a significantly better team and a weaker schedule. Our oline is ranked in the top half of the league by most sources too. He can definitely turn it around but damn, it’s looking brutal. But our fanbase can’t accept reality so it doesn’t matter
