What’s interesting is that this is a year where there aren’t many teams outright trying to tank as hard as possible. The majority of the last bottom feeders (Sharks, Ducks, Anaheim) through the last few years are hopeful to watch young stars emerge, so they’re unlikely to lean into being truly awful this year.
They’re still bad teams and won’t win much, but clearly so is Montreal.
So you’re saying the Stanley cup bet would have the greatest odds right now?

I genuinely believe this team is better than they’ve shown over the past 6 games and won’t be below bottom 5 by the end of the season.
Not near a playoff spot obviously, but not that far behind wild card teams.
They *will* improve.

Why are thet tanking for Bedard 2 years too late
I’m shocked. I really thought they were going to take a step this year. Truly disoppointing and embarrassing
Aaaannnd… this is the first season in a very long time that I splurged on NHL Centre Ice in order to be able to watch all games in my region. It’s sad that I’m regretting that decision. I didn’t even watch the Leafs game, and glad I didn’t.
I’m still optimistic about the rebuild and still think the team will be great sooner rather than later, but this season is a huge disappointment so far.

Before the season everyone was going gangbusters on the Habs making the playoffs, lol. I mean, I was excited too, but let’s be real.
And Nashville is 31st
Let that sink in.
This team is worse than the Sharks. Worse than the Ducks. Worse than Columbus.
These are teams a lot of the talking heads in the sports media said were not only bad, but historically bad.
What does that make us?
So is this year draft weak? We only draft in the top 3 when the draft is weak. A year before McKenna… we’re always so close
Honestly, if we’re going to miss the playoffs I’d rather be last.
