Thoughts on the “G” logo on the sleeves of the jersey? I like the design a lot.

  1. Not a huge fan myself. Just reminds me of the cheap knockoff jerseys at K-Mart growing up.

  2. Looks cheap. I could get used to it, but the players have very different sleeve lengths/cuts so I don’t think it’d work.

  3. It looks bad and would look hideous with the logo on the helmet too. That’s too much logo and not enough slick sleek shiek style.

  4. I didn’t like it at the time, because the sleeve G seemed unnecessary. As others have pointed out, it was worn during a period (1984-87) when the Packers were mediocre at best (back-to-back 8-8 seasons in ’84 and ’85), then were awful on the field and getting in trouble with the law off the field.

But … I know nostalgia is definitely playing a role, but I like these jerseys now. It’s because of the stripes; I like the stripes down by the bicep, the way St. Vince intended.

That’s true; they’re basically wearing sleeveless jerseys these days.

But, with compression shirts being a common undergarment/base layer now, they could put the stripes on the compression shirts.

  5. The way the sleeves are now with the form fitting to the shoulder pads it wouldn’t work.

  6. I love it and wish I could get a replica Dickey jersey in that style. That guy was my hero growing up.

  7. One G on the left side just above the knee on the throw backs with the two yellow horizontal lines

  8. Not a fan personally, but I do miss the double stripes on the sleeves. I think they should bring back striped socks too.

  9. Looks dated. Like a $29.99 Walmart fashion Jersey.

I’m 100% ok with updating the small details of our look but not that.
