[Goodberry]When people bring up past Bengals mistakes, (Zeitler) should be near the top of the conversation every time.
Should’ve been a Ring Of Honor guy.

Would instantly be our best offensive lineman today. Older evidence of the team actually drafting talent then letting them walk. About to be Tee next season as well.
Cheapest, shitiest ownership in the league
And of course Mixon is having his worst game of the season going up against none other than DJ Reader. Then I see Zeitler out there too. Then I think of Jessie Bates balling out in Atlanta.
Utterly hilarious we signed Rankins and Stone off of them having good games against us last season. That is peak scouting right there.
This front office really needs to a take a long, hard look in the mirror over how they operate. They’re hamstringing the coaches and the product on the field. That’s not going to happen though. Maybe they’re happy with the majority of the blame being passed onto Zac and Lou instead of themselves taking the brunt of the blame.
That’s just not what we do excuse for them is getting old. Not paying Jessie Bates has single handedly ruined this whole defense. 2 years after he’s left they’ve invested 2 high draft packs and tried free agency twice with a safety that’s been a complete disaster. I do think Jordan Battle can be a fine player but we don’t know what he fully is yet. These hardball negotiations they’re doing are blowing up in their face. Could have got Ja’Marr done at 35 mil now that price has jumped up to 40 mil. Ja’Marr deserves every bit of that.
It’s easy to ignore the actual context of how and when Zietler left and how he is performing now. We decided to pay Boling over Zeitler, and Zeitler was the second highest-paid player on the Browns the year he signed with them.
“We don’t pay guards.” Apparently the Bengals upon drafting Zeitler. Whitworth and Zeitler gone together one season after Jones and Sanu. Garbage after that. Crazy loss of talent 2016-2017.
We don’t pay/extend guards. I think the last time we did was Evan Mathis maybe?
Disagree. I remember when he and Big Whit left. I was so angry we let Zeitler go as he was younger and ok with Whit because he was older. Whit went on to kill it for another 5 years while Zeitler was average at best while getting paid as a top level O-lineman.
The FO have a stupid process.
Him AND Whitworth. It’s no coincidence that when they let them walk, their o line struggled mightily for years afterwards.
