Bitch boy mad he lost by 45 and got swatted. Your bum ass still has to play for Portland
Yeah yuk! Yeah yuk!
Jaylen legit can’t leave the starting 5
Jesus, pour one out for Blazers fans…
Point LaRavia making me look brilliant for picking him up in fantasy after Ja was announced out. Also shout out Santi he’s like a stretched out Slomo in a lot of ways just does a ton of tiny things on team defense and distributing.
Edey got his revenge.
Jay Huff should also start at the 5…maybe…BC days are numbered
Banton trying to statpad and then getting mad for getting his shit sent back
Btw shout out to the defence from everyone tonight iirc we lead the league in deflections and our guys are great at reading the passing lanes
Basically a needed win today and they won by 1000
Tough 4 game stretch ahead though. Hopefully we get smart back soon and vince soon after
Real tests on the way
Jaren Jackson 3 point shot looks a lot better, JJJ is gonna be an all star again.
Edey is gonna be a 7’4 Brook Lopez
SPJr is best backup Point Guard in the league
Jay Huff might be better than Naz Reid.
jaylen wells dominates the game of basketball
him and gg are going to be absolutely unstoppable together
Bro Jaylen Wells was a second round pick lmfao. Dude plays like a year 4 player
Shout out Jake too man. Just all over the place tonight
B2A
Yuki had nice turn around jumper. Good to see
I think we have to package Smart, Clarke, and picks and get a great 6th man. Jaylen Wells is gonna be tough to replace in the starting line up and we still have VW coming back.
Sent em to the shadowrealm
Great game today dominate from start to finish, jake defenitely player of the game today, love his hustle
Edey sees Memphis BBQ everytime Clingan is on the floor
Fantastic complete game and trouncing of a team we should trounce. More impressive we did it without starters.
Also, random shade, but I’m so thankful every day that Kleiman stopped us from having to watch Roddy minutes. This would have been a 30 minute Roddy outing last year. Crime against basketball.
If you could squish all the talent in this 17 man roster into a starting 5 it would go 82-0
I don’t know how we are going to find minutes for all these awesome dudes if we ever actually get healthy
This has to be one of the deepest Grizz teams ever. So much talent
Yeah Blazers are not a good team lol
Geeez imagine if they don’t win first pick lol
What system have the Grizzlies built…
Everyone plays better than we expected. The coaching staff is insane
Five players with 15+ tonight, on low minutes. Just absolutely dominated them. Made them our sock puppet
Huff is a little too unaggressive with rebounds that his team will get. He stays with his man a little long and makes space for other people on the team to get the rb. Its nice, but he should probably do more of the dog and bone thing.
God damn what a fun game. This team is absolutely stacked when clicking. Vibes are back on the menu
**ALL THE POSTGAME THOUGHTS:**
**• Jake LaRavia puts the** ***”dawg”*** **in** ***”SLAW DAWG”***
I know you like to slander him. I know you wanted Z to pan out or you are still mad that Kyle Anderson & De’Anthony Melton were traded and in walked Jake & Roddy. I know he wasn’t amazing his first year. I know all that. But admit he can fucking play. In his walkoff interview, you know what he said? *”I just try to go out and be a dawg every night.”*
***He’s trying to make you love him and you’re refusing!*** And that’s okay. You don’t have to love him. But you gotta give him his flowers. Plenty of beachfront property here on Isla de la Ravia.
**• I’ll say it again: I WAS WRONG ABOUT LUKE KENNARD**
He can do more than shoot threes. I said he could not and he proved me wrong. I’m not too proud to admit that.
**• NBA refs are going to get Zach Edey hurt**
If you don’t call the fouls you know are happening, it’s just going to get worse and worse. Zach had so many turnovers tonight a lot of them were probably due to the frustration of getting hacked and beaten to death and then turning around and getting called for little touch fouls on the other end. He’s getting branded as having bad hand-eye coordination but it’s not that. It’s one-half people throwing it at his knees and he has to bend over a lot to catch it and the other half he’s getting constantly fouled.
He’ll acclimate to it soon enough and it’ll be over. The minute that refs begin to call games a little more fairly, it’ll keep defenders honest and Zach will fucking light them up.
**• But also… ZHAQ 3D3Y, BABY!!**
I just love that he can shoot threes. I don’t even want him to shoot that many. Just take one a game and make every other one. That’s enough to keep defenses honest.
I also love that he led the team in steals with 4!
**• Is JJJ’s 3-pointer even more dangerous than before?!**
He’s shooting a scorching 40.5% on the year. It’s probably *not* going to last… but what if it does?! That could be really fucking exciting.
**• Well is a 35 year old basketball player in a 21 year old’s body**
That’s the only explanation for why he plays so mature. Like, he’s going to make it really hard to play Vince Williams, Jr. Something’s got to give here and it’s probably going to be some combination of Smart, Luke and Jitty (*or all three*) ending up gone by the trade deadline. They could trade the three of them and we’d still be deep as fuck.
**• Santi with 16 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals & only 2 TOs from the wing…**
I just don’t know that there’s a good case against starting someone else at the wing over him. He rebounds, he facilitates, he scores and he’s playing good defense. The only argument against starting someone else would be to have a designated defender start there but that’s something that can be done on a team-specific basis.
**• We got a steal in Jay Huff**
He’s a cheat code. He can score from beyond the arc, he can put it on the floor and drive, he’s got no-look passes and he got *”Look! No pass!!”* fakes. He can block shots. He can sing, he’s a music producer, he’s a DJ, he’s plumber, he’s a salsa instructor and he’s a trained EMT. I don’t know that he’s any of those other things but none of can be sure that he **can’t** do those things. I don’t think there’s anything he can’t do.
**• They were more excited for Yuki than their own team.**
And I’m fucking here for it. That was so awesome to see. Just awesome that a fanbase whose team was actually getting beaten by 40 can just forget about that and root for an awesome player on **the opposing** team. How cool was that shit?
