  1. Its about time they get split up, the both of them are very talented but very very soft , there is no difference of having cauffield and suzuki then there was the canucks haven the sedin sisters ….good players but how many cups did they win? …reminder in 93 , to win we had to trade Richer our best scorer for Muller who added grit along with talent

  2. After the second half of last season I was really expecting the Habs to be contenders for the play-offs this season. Even if they don't make it they should have been right up there until the end. I hope this reshuffle helps but they can't play like girls in the NHL. The way Savard got scared of Domi and the general lack of hard play is worrying. I honestly hope MSL knows what he's doing, because these weird line reshuffles don't look like he does.

  3. Fowler is looking amazing! Our first line of Cole, Suzi and Slaf will work again once we have a real second line that other teams will also have to focus on. Great show guys! GO HABS GO!

  4. I'm all for splitting Caufield and Suzuki from tiime to time, the best for now doesn't matter anymore season is pretty much over before it even truly started. It's what's best for the future that counts more than anything else, 2 to 3 years from now when kids like Roy, Kapanen, Beck, Demidov, Hage (+ maybe Thorpe, Rohrer, Sawyer, Xhekaj, Mesar etc) will all battle it out for the 3 top lines. When we reach that point Suzuki + Caufield together with Slaf on the 1st line might not be the very best option, might as well getting them used to different linemates now.

  5. If there's a chance of winning it's tomorrow against Buffalo. Because forget it when we play Minnesota. If we lose against Buffalo and Minnesota, MSL will be fire imo. Well at least he should be but since the Habs are a Country Club (MSL, Lecavalier, Hughes and Gorton are all little friends) I doubt it.

  6. Dach needs to center the 2nd line. That's his job. He should be getting as many reps as possible. If he isn't our 2nd line center then we are truly fucked. We have been hurting for centers for too long. You just can't go out and buy a top six center.

  7. I don't understand some of the decision-making. Put the top line back together.

Leave Dach on the 2nd line, and give him all season to work on faceoffs. The team was not going to contend anyway.

  8. Ive noticed that when the 1st line is producing, the other lines are invisible and when other lines are producing, the 1st line is invisible so I don't think splitting up Suz and Caufield is a bad thing as a short-term shake up but they'll need more to get out of that giant hole they are in

  9. I will say, Caufield is been on the scoresheet a lot with his scoring touch, but if you watch the games I don’t find him that stellar. His breakout passes are Tim Hortons fruit explosion muffins lol. He has poor defense and besides a nice shot he is underperforming in other metrics. Hockey is a 200ft game.

  10. Caufield and Suzuki are consistently bad together at 5v5. Let them play on the powerplay together, but I like these lines way more. Also, Evans has been good; he deserves to get some extra points from playing with a real scorer.

  11. When Laine got injured. the season was done right there . He was the only addition on the roster that could have perhaps made it any significant difference in terms of offense otherwise it was pretty much the same lineup as last year.
I didn't expect them to be good at all this year and I don't know why people were so confident that they were going to be.
The defense is kids. Except for savard and matheson. The rest of them are kids 19 ,20 ,21, 22 years old.
Also have to keep in mind that the goaltending was pretty solid last year and stole a lot of games which isn't the case this year.
To sit there and blame Marty is ridiculous. It's a process. It takes time.
Next year is when we should see some type of turnaround .
When that young defensive corps has another year under their belts , that goes for caufield and slavkovski, Suzuki as well.
The addition of demidov is going to be huge and could catapult them right where they need to be.. I think we need about 2 more years before we can make a real significant push for a playoff spot.
And when it comes full circle it's going to be beautiful to watch it unfold. Love the show guys.
