  1. Soucy looking like a 10 year old that just brought back his most bombastic artwork from school

  2. Bruce era canucks for me felt way more dangerous offensively. I felt like the team could score 3 plus goals a night. The problem was they also gave up 35 plus shots a night which became a problem when they didn’t score that 3 plus goals. Tocchet has gotten the team to giving away around 25 shots per night but more importantly less high danger chances and giveaways. The downside to that team defense first approach is that the team looks passive looks slow and when faced against speed demons like the oilers and the devils they simply get outmatched. That’s because it’ll always be easier for a skilled forward to outmatch a even similar skilled defenseman. So that’s why collapsing back and trying to not be out of position against a speedy top line is a fools errand. The only way to counter this is to keep possession away from that line to begin with. The canucks need a purposefully built puck possession line that doesn’t play scared. The best defense is to be on offense I just don’t know if the coaches can bring back puck possession ep40 although last game showed some promise. Going 7 d is playing scared ya don’t do that against the oilers there are just teams you can’t out defense they’re too good so you have to out offense
