At this point, you’ll be waiting until the end of next season.
I can’t tell if y’all are joking or actually think he’s getting fired cuz there’s literally a less than 0% chance it happens in season
So, all they’re going to tell us at noon is that Waldron isn’t calling the plays anymore???
Not, Waldron is fired???
It’s not gonna happen. I doubt they even change play callers.
Nothings going to happen lol. George wouldn’t even approve swear words on Hard Knocks. He is not approving anyone to be fired for performance issues.
I can’t believe they’re going to keep Eberflus. They will undoubtedly lose 5/6 in a row. How does one survive this? Nagy did because he’d been to the playoffs.
This jabroni hasn’t done near enough to have the organizations backing. This is a most unserious franchise.
Seriously, how much do you think it would cost to fire everyone and bring in Bill Belichick and let him take over everything?
You think they are gonna make any serious changes during Packers week? They are scared and should be.
If you expect this organization to do anything other than some ‘rah rah’ press conference where they pretend everything’s just fine, then you haven’t been paying attention to this team for very long.
This is going to be nothing but another empty fluff PR message. Business as usual.
mark my words this chud will beat Green Bay week 18 and it’ll be enough in George, Kevin, and Ryan’s minds to keep him another season. You have to fire him now before he gets an opportunity to pull a win out of his ass to save himself.
If he changes his facial hair again, I think we should all give him another chance…
It’s not going to happen, but it fucking should.
Waiting to be disappointed
Prepare for the division games. The Lions gutted a win out over the Texans last night.
The division opponents are gonna humiliate the Bears.
Nothing will happen
The thing is, even though it’s never going to be a mid-season firing of the head coach there are several smaller things that can be done right now that at least signal there are actually solutions being tried rather than “looking for answers”
-Waldron gone, obvious. And gone gone, not demoted and kept on staff just having someone else call the plays.
-Chris Morgan gone. It just ain’t it. Make Teven Jenkins a player/coach before you give this guy another week.
-Release Marcedes Lewis. Leads the team in penalties while only playing like 10% of snaps. Don’t care that he’s one of your “leaders” he doesn’t help now and offers you no longer term upside. Bye.
-Put Tyrique Stevenson on the bench if Terrell Smith can stay healthy. Smith is better and Stevenson had several noticeable loafs yesterday. Guy has checked out and should be the exact type of player you’re trying to get rid of.
-Raid practice squads for O lineman. Will it help? Probably not but Kramer and Currhan as your depth can’t possibly be worse.
-Bench Coleman Shelton. Guy needs a rape whistle out there. Ryan Bates is the center, guards can really be whoever, not like it matters but get a center who might have a clue what he’s looking at when it comes to fronts and pressures.
Does any of this save the season? Hell no. But it’s action being taken with the intention of improving. Trying this same shit week after week after week is just idiocy.
If we lose something like 27-3 to the Packers, I think he actually gets fired next week.
I really hope the Packers destroy us.
The coaching staff is signing new extensions. They don’t want to announce anything until everyone has signed.
At this point, we’re not even talking about saving this season. The trajectory plus the strength of the division means playoffs are but a distant mirage. At this point we’re talking about avoiding future, permanent damage to our #1 draft pick and overall team / locker-room culture. Continuing on this path is a recipe for blowing this team up, which was starting to look promising and have some nice pieces for the future. It’s time to cut bait, move on, and at least provide a nice excuse for why the rest of the season is going to be a disaster.
We’re going to have this conversation every week and we just passed the halfway point of the season man we’re so cooked as a franchise it’s so frustrating as a fan knowing nothing will change.
Now that the looking inward phase is in full swing, phase 2 is looking OUTward. It’s all a process that gets you through press conferences without answering a question.
Flush the Flus.
He’s not getting fired. Guessing Waldron will be relieved of play calling duty. If Williams stays in they’re going to give him dinky dunk short passes/check downs and hand offs to take him out of the firing line for the rest of the season. The offense isn’t going to do anything for the remainder of the season, the focus will be trying to keep him from getting killed.
Then what’s the problem? I’m not sure.
Doubt they’ll can Eberflus midseason.
Wish they’d drop Waldron, though
Ah this meme is an annual occurrence here.
If the bears org fired Eberflus & Waldron who would even take their place? I feel like that might be a big reason why Poles has not done it yet
