Look I’m the last person to blame the refs for a loss, and I still think we had to do more on O in the second half.
But wow. That is just such total BS. I don’t believe any of the conspiracies but damn if this sort of thing doesn’t seriously make me scrabble around trying to see other answers. There’s almost literally nothing there. Like, even if the ball was coming his way that doesn’t get called 90% of the time. Plus Mahomes was already wrapped up.
Fuck that game.
What the actual fuck. He was sacked before any contact occurred. Also the contact that did occur is not penalty worthy. Not even close. Absolutely egregious.
i don’t get it, where’s the penalty? didn’t see this play
Does anyone even see where the flag came down?
I don’t think this is the right video because it was called on Jones when he was guarding Kelce, I believe.
She had to get the pictures with Taylor swift
There’s some hand contact around the 20 yard line that goes on for 5 yards or so but nothing more than the hand fighting I saw going on in the game with Surtain & Moss out there. The refs were letting them play for the most part but decided THIS was a good time to make an example of it… when the Chiefs get sacked out of FG range and it’s now 4th down. The Chiefs then go on to score a TD that drive btw. Am I salty? Fuck yeah I am!
The only thing I can see is the DB around the 20 yard marker bumping the guy as he cuts on his in-route. But that doesn’t look flag worthy
I hate the call, but if you pause at around the :06 mark, it looks like Jones makes contact with Kelce before Mahomes gets wrapped up. Agree it’s very hit and miss when it gets called, but this was a perfect scenario for a flag to get thrown. Ticky tack that takes away from a great play by the pass rush.
You can see the safety go to jam the slot reciever about 15 yards down the field at around the 20. It’s a soft foul but it absolutely a penalty by the rule book. The problem is that I can guarantee you can find a play in the same game with a similar play made that isn’t called. If you’re going to call that type of play tight then I have no problem with that. But do it consistently
Lame ass bullshit. This is what makes me lose interest in this sport and I’m sure others. There needs to be more checks on these shit refs. They’ve always been crap and they continue to be crap.
It is always the timing of Chiefs penalties that gets me. People will look and say “Chiefs still get penalties against them look at the stats!” but not all are created equal. This would have been huge had a penalty not been called. Crowd was out of it and everything.
Some dynasty huh? So dominant they have to rely on the refs to keep them up on top. The NFL is such a fucking joke
was waiting to see this, exactly what I expected, lol. We still could’ve beat them despite the standard preferential treatment. sucks
A call as soft as Mahomes
This is the reason the game came down to a field goal. I think if the penalty isn’t called the Broncos probably score another touchdown on the subsequent drive based on how well they moved the ball in the first half.
This should get a crew fined and suspended. It’s too blatant
I missed the game and this was conveniently excluded from highlights. Roughly when did this happen in the game and what was the score at the time? Trying to figure out which drive this was.
Like a lot of other commenters, I’m staunchly against the whole ‘scripted NFL’ and ‘Chiefs winning is a conspiracy’ nonsense. That type of thinking is a quick way to lose your love for the game and become a bitter, tinfoil hat wearing nut job…
That being said, I could absolutely see the NFL/officiating crew pressing their fingers on the scale every now and again if the opportunity presents itself (tuck rule, non-calls, convenient holding, etc). After all, the NFL is an entertainment company right? If this is the case, I sure am glad we’ve got the richest ownership group in the league backing our Broncos…
Yeah Bullshit call all around. Did he touch him sure, can you throw that flag on any play? Yup, so why now? We all know why.
I can see where the contact occurred. Past 5 yards, but it’s debatable who initiated the contact. Can’t wait for them to get revenge in Denver last game of the year. The script might be we end their undefeated regular season. 🤷♂️
It’s against the rules to touch Mahomes when the chiefs are down in points. If you do that expect flags. Clear as day penalty.
Bo looked great yesterday! He actually has a higher QB rating than Caleb Williams after 10 games. Awesome!
Post this over at r/NFL. More people need to see this.
Is the “illegal contact” in the room with us?
Never paid any mind to the mahomes/ ref conspiracy before this play, now I am almost certain games are being fixed in their favor. I think it’d be really hard, even for a chiefs fan, to defend that flag. One of the worst penalties I’ve ever seen if not the worst.
It was a bad call early in the game. There are bad calls in every game. I’m not a homer on this stuff and the chiefs do not benefit from calls more than any other team. They’re the best team at closing – which is why they win. I live in Denver which is why I’m in here. I try to root for both teams. Chiefs missed two wide open touchdowns. Broncos didn’t score in the second half. Broncos got outplayed on a chipshot field goal that should have been the game. My best advice is to spend your time worrying about more important things.
Is there anyway to get this on r/nfl or will they just ignore it
That botched call essentially lost us the game. We had all the momentum against the Chiefs coming off a sack on 3rd down. If that call isn’t made, Chiefs punt and they don’t drive down the field to score a TD. Can’t wait until Kelce retires so the media circus that comes with Taylor Swift goes away and refs stop FAVORING them. It’s definitely not rigged but they do undoubtedly get favoritism.
Obviously there is nothing there and it sucks. We can go on about kc and the refs, though bad calls happen every game. The reality is despite everything, the broncos did everything they needed to to win, the whole left side of the line just forgot they were supposed to block on the final field goal attempt. It sucks, but this team still has all their goals in front of them and control their own destiny, so instead of moping, let’s hope they get to work, correct the problems and not leave future games up to refs/last second field goals. There’s a lot to be excited about, and i’ll be focused on that.
IMO refs are told to not let chiefs games get out of hand… Just saying. This is complete horse crap
Chiefs “football” makes me sick. Never hated the Patriots as much as I hate this fucking team. You have to beat them by 20 or else the refs are gonna bail them out every single time
Man this is great to see, I don’t have access to 22 man, are you able to pull the play before this as well? It should be a throw away from Mahomes that looked like intentional grounding.
Also are you able to pull the play in this same drive at the goal line where the refs tossed a flag for illegal man downfield but then ruled it no penalty? I believe it was the play before Kelce scored.
Take a look at the Kyle Pitts no call in the end zone KC @ ATL. Still scratching my head over that one.
What a crap call. It is disgusting how this is happening week after week after week with the Chefs.
Moved to Denver from KC because Kc fucking blows but still root for the chiefs. This call was some phantom bullshit but Come on you Guys did nothing for the whole second half and had a chip shot field goal and couldn’t get it done. The refs didn’t hand KC the game you guys lost it. Cry me a Philip Rivers. I moved back to KC and regret it, still blows here, you guys got a good Qb, defense and coach even after the whole Russ situation you got a whole lot to look forward to.
If that’s the standard for illegal contact you could call that on every single play that extends past 10 yards

What a horrible call by the refs. Unbelievable
