lol
Wasn’t that the (very obvious) plan? Send him down for a game then bring him back up?
No other moves this morning so far… good sign for Dak
Get a win and some reps in before playing in the big leagues again, seems like a smart idea.
It’s not like Abby is far from Van. It was probably just to get him some playing time. The way Lanks has been playing, it hasn’t lead to many chances for Arty, and the few he’s had, he hasn’t been great.
got to take advantage of the farm team being so close.
The value of having the farm team in Abbotsford!
Hope they circled all the opportunities they have to do this again
Why am I not surprised
If the Canucks actually win it all the league is going to hate us 1000 times more than Vegas or Tampa lol
They risk burning Lankinen out, but they don’t really have a solid backup. Silovs was a hero last year but maybe not quite ready. The framework is a bit rickety at the moment.
Nice, silovs gets NHL holiday stat pay
Such an advantage having Abby close
Good for Ty Young who just earned about 10x his salary for the day.
Snip snap, snip snap!
Tocchet said Silovs was sent down for conditioning since has not played a full game in over 2 weeks. Ty Young was just a place holder.
How did he play last night? I saw that the Abby boys won, but Silovs really needed a confidence boost after his recent performances with the big club.
Been wanting him sent down to get games for a hot minute now. With Patera hurt, I feel like we need to ensure Silovs is getting at least 1 game a week through this method
Cap space accrual too. Weird but works.
It was fun meeting Ty and getting his signature yesterday, he told me it was unexpected but was thrilled to be given the opportunity to be there signing and meeting
Alvin is employing an old Soviet tactic of messing with players’ heads. I like it. Up and down, up and down. You’re hired, you’re fired, you’re hired again. This breeds fear, which in turn enforces commitment and loyalty.
