Pat McAfee breaks down Leo Chenal's block to win the game for the Chiefs. He also gives credit to Dan Orlovsky who does a deeper dive on the block.

  1. 54 is a squat formation rather than legs out and low, forward Center of gravity. Dude got rolled.

  2. We decided it was going to be a battle of the 54s… My money is on athletic super freak Leo Fucking Chenal.

  3. Didn’t Taylor Swift diagram this for Dave Toub with an eyebrow pencil on a cocktail napkin during halftime?

  4. His legs are completely in front of him, he’s squared up and the slightest push knocks his top heavy body down. I don’t know how their special teams coach didn’t beat that stance out of him day 1. Nothing about the way 54 is standing says he’s stable.

  5. For those interested:

    – Full clip: https://youtu.be/JSK0duJKAWg
    – Orlovsky clip: https://youtu.be/LcP0-h3oHtg (sorry I can’t find a non-pirated clip for this)

The orlovsky clip is referenced by Pat and both do an excellent job of calling out that this was far from luck.

All plays in the NFL involve luck this one maybe moreso, but this was a massive fail by broncos special team line work that the chiefs were exploiting all game and finally took advantage of at a critical moment.

  6. Leo Chenal (Beast) just blew that guy up and superman dived his way to a block. Dude is a keeper!

  7. Remember that the Broncos purposely ran the third down play so they could kick the ball from the right hash mark. Meaning he had to aim it back left a tad , right into that bull rush.
