I’m gonna be honest with y’all I have NO idea what to make of this
This post is the only reason I even know that there is a Nick Allen on the face of the Earth.
I saw “INF Nick” and my brain made a leap my heart wasn’t ready to be let down by.
If I remember right, Nick Allen was a big name prospect the A’s were able to float to a lower round. Haven’t heard much of him since. I think he was a more defense heavy pick that they were hoping to gain some bat skills

Just some more infield depth and nothing more. Keep in mind that guys like Merrifield and Urshela have expiring contracts in anyway and we needed at least one person beyond Arcia who could play SS no matter what. This certainly doesn’t preclude a future move to upgrade at SS.
