Annoyed that Jalen’s shot has started falling less as Sengun starts to get a rhythm going these past few games. But Sengun saved us by checking back in the 4th and sparking our run. I heard Sarr had been good defensively so far this season, but he just got cooked by Sengun. Big shoutout to Tari and Amen locking up as well and helping us get easy transition points. That duo is so good off the bench and helps when we have Jalen and Sengun resting and Fred doesn’t have it. Tari just looks better on all fronts (besides tunnel vision of transition offense I guess but he tends to make those) and is elite on defense with Amen. Probably our two most consistently good players so far this season.
Reed also has been more aggressive and hopefully is starting to get comfortable. Targeted on D tonight when he tended to be solid so far, but as long as he shoots more and gets more confident that’s what matters the most.
Not to be too reactionary, but Jabari continues a slow start. Especially rough that a lot of the misses were not even close. I appreciate using Fred’s absence to try and get him into a rhythm, but yikes.
Jalen’s handle and passing as the primary guy without Fred looked rough tonight with all the TOs. The reps are good but it’s WIP.
Overall, the 3PT shooting continues to be bad. I get the math of shooting a lot of them but it might not be for this team. At least we didn’t shoot too many tonight.
Good to see that without Fred we can hold our own. He hasn’t been good this season so far, so it would be great to not be so reliant on him for offense.
THE TERROR TWINS
FVV’s fit tonight

If these are gonna be Jalen’s “bad” games this year I’m happy with it
Amen is a monster
Insane D from Amen and Tari
Al-P took Sarr to school
GG
6 Rockets in double figures!
Sengun COOKED! tonight
Sengun tonight:
27 PTS
17 REB
3 AST
3 BLK
Sengun tortured wizards front court all game. This is an all nba big imo.
Playing againts amen and tari must feel like hell
Sometimes i do feel like sengun fighting both opponent team also with ime
I finally see a core emerging in this team. At the moment the names are Sengun, Tari and Amen (and I hope Reed too). I see a bright future with these guys together.
If it was a different team, it would’ve probably ended in a loss. Sengun was the man tonight.
Are we ever going to see a game where both Alpi and Jalen plays good at the same time?
every minute sengun is on the bench is a crime against rockets fans.
UGLY AND EFFECTIVE IS STILL EFFECTIVE
LET THE LEAGUE KNOW. YOU BRING YOUR LOTTERY CENTER ROOKIES TO ALPI HE’S GOING TO CHEW THEM UP. SHOULD’VE ASKED WEMBY.
TARI NEEDS AN EXTENSION SO I CAN GET A JERSEY
AMEN IS CLAMPS
JALEN, DRY YOUR FUCKING HANDS BEFORE STEPPING ON THE COURT
DILLON IS A ROCK
AND NOW YOU SEE WHAT THIS OFFENSE LOOKS LIKE WITHOUT FRED
TICK TOCK, JABARI
NEED MORE REED. THAT PULLUP 3 WAS A VISION OF A BETTER FUTURE.
BRING US THAT BEARDED MOTHER FUCKER! WE READY TO SHOW HIM WHAT’S WHAT.
79-4
GAMECUBE. NINTENDO.
Alex Sarr looks every bit Thon Maker out there – great length, agility and shot blocking instincts, but negative touch around the rim, inconsistent jumpshot, and terrible handle. He has nothing in his bag on the offensive end.
Tari and Amen, 13 stocks combined, absolutely ridiculous. Fingerprints all over this game, when our shot isn’t dropping they’re able to turn defense into offense.
Sengun saved us this game, give him his damn minutes and run the offense through him more. +22 out there and you could tell.
I’m a big Bari defender. And I think his shooting will probably get back to normal hopefully and some of these conversations can settle. Buttt….. silver lining if it doesn’t and we can extend him for cheap and then it goes back to normal I wouldn’t be mad
If Jabaris stroke was pure we would be living
Poor Sarr man. Ime lined that up and played Adams against Jonas so Sengun could cook Sarr every single time.
Şengün could easily have been 30 20 5. This must be a record for the youngest age or something.
If you’re wondering why Jalen and Jabari are shooting so badly, I imagine it’s cause their confidence is shook from getting hounded by Amen and Tari in practice everyday. ^/s

I’ve seen enough get the banner ready
Sengun still played the least minutes of the regular starters. Even less than Bari. WTF.
We’re dangerous if we become league average shooters
Defense wins games.
Tari and Amen bring the energy every night. Need the rest of the squad to step it up!
Best moment of the game

Sengun having a huge game here was big because last year no player dominated sengun to the level that Val did when he was with the Pels. It is good to see the tides turn there even though most of his scoring came against sarr.
