Free throws for SGA
Damn, i must’ve missed the rule change where they made it illegal to guard Shai
Fought hard fts and tos lost us this one. Norman powell still a allstar
Not too mad we lost, though it sucks to lose. This gives me more confidence going into the games against Houston
Had a chance to win despite the glazing ass refs, our million turnovers, and the Thunder’s 5 out offense giving us problems.
On the next.
absolute masterclass from the zebras tonight. still blown away by shai’s whistle, those 2 calls on dunn and late call on coffey were egregious
16 free throws jesus
This one’s on us for the turnovers, but damn the refs were on one tonight. Shai should not be getting all these free throws for any soft touch
12 more turnovers and 9 missed free throws were the difference.
Way too many turnovers and our defense was really lacking, but, man, the refs were on some absolute bullsht today
Missed free-throws cost us.
We were +22 rebounds as well. Crazy.
Aside from the turnovers, we played really really hard. Not mad at this loss
Highway robbery by the refs. Not worried at all. Shai ain’t getting that whistle for his whole career he better enjoy it for now
Honestly? Proud of the team for this game
Game Notes:
Practice your damn free throws.
Don’t dig yourselves into a massive hole with careless turnovers.
But all things considered, we did fairly well this game and I’m not feeling pessimistic in spite of the loss
Despite the loss tonight I’m honestly having so much fun watching this team which is not something I’ve been able to say in years
Not a bad effort, that’s just a really good team. Tough losing our best scorer at the end but what can you do. Really is a case of if we have Kawhi, this team could be legitimately competitive with anyone
Kansas City Thunder or Oklahoma City Chiefs? Either way, fuck the refs man.
Proud of Norm, DJJ and the boys for fighting! Mann and KPJ gotta make the smart plays tho 😔
Good effort by everyone and I think they probably take it if they had settled down in the first half. DJJ is so much better than I imagined him being. A L is a L but this team is solid for sure; they just need another player to score desperately. I know Kawhi would fix a lot of the issues but getting in the habit of waiting on Kawhi isn’t how you fight through this season
Sidenote but man OKC is so unlikable in how they play. Part of it isn’t their fault because the refs just give them an easy whistle. I mean, we have Norm and James on this team, we know what grifters have to do, but Dort + SGA make it a tough watch as an opposing fan. They’re a good team for sure, don’t get me twisted, but not my favorite to watch
I’m trying to rehabilitate myself as a long term Harden hater from before the trade, but man shit like that last possession make it hard lol
Beating the thunder is going to hit like crack. Please let it be soon basketball gods 🙏
Shai is not winning the free throw merchant allegations
Was mann injured? Didn’t play at all 2nd half I don’t think
need this as a playoff series
So much potential. We have a solid team that can compete. I’m excited for the future.
Norm being legit is the best takeaway from this game.
Cut down on those turnovers, work on free throws, make the adjustments earlier, and this team is still gonna be above .500 come January when Kawhi returns
22 TO & 9 missed FT and we almost took it. In the game at the end every night, as promised.
Terrance Mann wowzer🙏🏽
Team did great overall IMO. Nothing to be bummed about.
That sixth foul on Norm was completely unacceptable by the ref crew though. That’s the only thing I was frustrated by.
It will never, NEVER, not hurt that Shai is becoming a legend on another team 😢
And he has revenge in his eyes and tears is up each time we play ala Steph in his prime during the Lob City days, and Luka recently remembering how we beat him in the playoffs twice.
OKC tho is a locked in team. That defense.. wow. And they’re missing their 2nd best player? I think it’s pretty clear we’re on track for an OKC-BOS finals.
Anyways, love the fight, get better, and let’s beat HOU these next few games.
Dort be playing fucking football! Refs need to open their damn eyes.
Free throws. We have to be a perfect free throw shooting team
Jvg is right now watching video…. A lot of video.
Clips vs OKC and refs
