Anyone really know what’s going on? Sick of the Coliseum being jerked around like this and it’s not even Fisher or MLB

Have a bad feeling about this
This is not going to end well…
What’re they trying to develop exactly?
They are trying to pay for this with other people’s money. Probably having trouble locking down investment.
Not an A’s fan. But visited the Coliseum for the first time for the final home game. I feel bad for it, a great park that just needs some (much) TLC
That deal is never gonna go through. They don’t, and never did, have the money.
What are we even doing at this point. Let’s try and find some closure
Good friends in commercial real estate tell me the property is worth zero right now. There is no demand for commercial property with the current vacancy rates. Residential doesn’t pencil with material costs and affordable housing requirements. With high interest rates, no developer is going to land bank it.
It’s almost as if the best use could be as a public recreational space. Sigh.

It’s almost as if it was never just one man……
Down vote away.
Ugh man, Oakland seriously can’t catch a break. I’m now starting to believe there was some backdoor things going on between them and Thao. The dude from AASEG physically confronted some Recall Thao protesters like a couple of weeks ago. I’m not saying he was right or wrong but it did make him look bad and now this? I don’t understand how can two “payments” be missed (although I think the first one checked out after all to be fair).
Oakland and it’s Politics are a damn mess. I’m born and raised here by the way
What a shitshow this is. Represents Oakland’s circus perfectly.
Seemed pretty predictable. Honestly I’ll be happy if this idiotic sale doesn’t go through. City can do a better deal for this huge tract of land in the heart of the bay area.
