Seen some debates on whether we’re currently worse than Whisenhunt’s 2014 dumpster fire. Genuine question, are we worse than these guys were?

  1. You tell me. Would you rather pass a kidney stone or vomit and poop your pants at the same time for a few days?

Ill pass on both. But this team if I had to pick.

  2. I don’t think so. I know it sounds nuts, but you can see the talent on the roster. Our brand of bad is powered by a couple units having worst-in-the-league starters. Namely, the ST unit and the O line. Just so, so very bad at both right now.

Getting better at O-line though 🫠🫠

  3. 2014 was objectively bad. 2024 just doesn’t have a QB or RT. The other parts are much better than the 2014 team.

  4. Probably not unless its the season opener. We’re 27th in points for and against this year, and both teams we’ve beaten are better from a points for/against ranking stand point than our 2014 squad (30th PF, 29th PA). We take care of business against teams who have a harder time scoring than we do.

Would almost certainly go to overtime.

  5. Final Score: 17-17

We scored 20+ points 6 times in 2014. We’ve scored 20+ points twice so far this season.

  6. No like others have said this team is a quarterback and a right tackle away. The 2014 team couldn’t even convert a 3rd down. If they played today the 2024 team wins 24-10.

  7. Like I’ve said before on this sub, it its Week 1 Whiz ain’t getting beat, otherwise I’ll take the 2024 team.

  8. At least in 2014, at some point, it was apparent we sucked. 2024 feels like a tease with fantasic play at times, coupled with some of the worse football from top to bottom I’ve seen from the Titans. I’ve heard it said before, but it seems like out coaching staff thinks they are the smartest in the room, and everything on field points to the opposite being true. Sure we have the talent in 2024, but the 2014 team had grit these boys today don’t know anything about.
