3. Besides the fluke drive where they gave Tampa 50 yards based off hands to the face calls the D did very well they only had one legit scoring drive.

You can say that about any team though. Vibe? Outside of that, with Kittle and company it's all good. We have a chance as good as any but not considerably more than anyone compared to last year. Vikings and Lions are the NFC favorites right now imho. We can be right there but there are a lot of questions to answer each week. We're a notch or so below them by a clear amount.

16. The niner defense has a lot young guys playing this year and dudes missing. Despite this theyve been good. They have good enough DBs(2 rookies & one 2nd yr player) and with Fred in the middle of the field they give the passrush a chance to affect the play(i wish the line didnt need that, but they do). Usually. Baker was getting the ball out too fast in this game. But they still held Baker to a buck sixteen through the air. Defensive penalties at least can be cleaned up. They wont go away entirely but maybe be less frequent. Run defense is still an issue, but the defense as a whole is at worst solid

17. 49ers should won that game by 10 points. They looked great but find ways to shoot themselves in the foot with special teams and penalties. They might make a run now. They were 13-6 last yr.

18. Niners had over 400 total yards on offense nearly double that of TAM. Thus game was all about the Niners poor special teams.

21. 49ers defense hasn’t been great since DeMeco Ryans left tbh they were off last year too-the offense was just putting up obscene numbers that no one noticed the defense letting up more and more points as the season went. The defense gave up all those points in the playoffs that required 2 late comeback wins especially against Detroit where they couldn’t stop the run at all for a half. And the 49ers were 1 defensive stop from winning the SB while the offense never left the field without a lead.

22. Let's keep in mind that McCafferty just got back. Wait until he catches up to speed. 69 yards receiving and 100 all purpose yards. He be back to around 140 yards soon.
