Russell
Bill Russell
Gotta be Bird
Bill Russell is the only answer here. Respect Bird, but it’s always going to be Russell
Bird, but Russell is also a very good answer
Russell, with apologies to Bird.
KG. Won thw chip in his 1st year and waived his no trade clause to be traded to the Nets that ultimately got them JB and JT
I was gonna say Bird but Russell is probably the right answer
The only answer is Bill Russell but Cousy deserves some recognition as well.
Bill Russell and it’s not even close.
Russell started with a chip and ended with a chip ad player/coach. Does not get any better than that.
Larry Joe
Bill fucking russell
KG cause it brought us JT and JB
Paul Pierce. Drafted 10th, was instantly a star. Then was our only AllStar player for like a decade before the trade. Won a championship and is still hanging around showing up to the games. He was traded for what got us Brown and Tatum. Everyone loves him. Whereas Bird wouldn’t be caught dead at a Celtics game. Gorman’s alltime favorite player.
But you could also say Russell, Cousy, Havlicek.
Russell is the answer. Bird’s mom’s driveway robbed us of a good ending.
Tommy Heinsohn for runner up. Won rookie of the year (over bill russel), named an all star, won the chip his first year. it would’ve been sweet for the jays to win one for him, but it’s hard to argue he didn’t go out on top seeing this current generation rise
Russell but he should get a separate square that is “Started Great, Ended Great”
Just calling him “good” is not enough but I guess it’s what we got.
Gotta be Marcus Smart
Russell. 1 of 1. The only answer.
Bill Russell
Pierce
Bill Russell hands down is the only answer left
Larry Legend

Honorable mention to Mike Gorman- championship in his first year calling games in 1981, and finished off with another !
Russell
I was going to suggest Pierce but you really can’t argue with the goat William Fenton Russell
Paul Pierce
