Bronny James’ BIGGEST Problem

Gilbert Arenas explains to the Gil’s Arena podcast crew why Bronny James is failing in the NBA. His game does not fit the NBA style yet. He needs to be aggressive and not pass. Lately, he has just been passing the ball and not attacking the basket. That is why the Los Angeles Lakers moved him down to the G-League to work on his game and become a more proactive score in the NBA. He is too indecisive says Gil as he explains why his favorite Los Angeles Laker will be spending most of his time in the G-League this season.

Gil’s Arena every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 11:30am PT / 2:30pm ET.

  1. I think Bronny's problem is less about him second guessing his passes specifically, and more to do with being able to explain every single thing he does on the floor, with or without the ball, to LeBron at any given moment. Instead of being able to develop any flow and less instincts and training take over, he is forced to think of everything he does, before he does it, as he is doing it and then the outcome of whatever action he took. It results in slowing everything he does down slightly and affects his self confidence, getting worse over time. Not a situation with a winning outcome.

  2. “Everything is secondary to him”. That is because he don’t belong in the NBA. Bronny is only there because of LeBron and everyone knows it.

Bronny does not have the skill set and not good enough. Dont know why these guys are acting like it is his mentality and IQ. Stop making excuses for him!

  3. The problem is he never really wanted to play ball. Let that boy go be a content creator and play video games. Got that boy in the G-League wishing he could be on Kai’s stream right now! Rey just came back home too! 🖖🏿!

  4. Is that his only problem as a player?.. hopefully the young man can improve , but a lot more talented players ended up playing overseas ..he have lebron in his corner so he has a chance ..lets see..

  5. No fella he’s not NBA READY AN NEVER WILL BE
THE WORLD KNOW THAT THE ONLY REASON HES THERE IS BCUZ OF HIS DAD HE WASNT D1 MATERIAL GIL IS A JAMES NUT RIDER SIMPLE AS THAT BE HONEST AN REAL
Send him to the D league

  6. This is the reason that said that Brony modeled his game after the wrong players IE: his dad ! Bronny does not got the luxury of being 6’6 and above to get away playing passive and basic and he was not set up to play aggressive that was a fail on Brons and what ever training Bronny went under all those years before college he had access to guys like Kyrie and CP3 or Rondo and Westbrook. Look at Melos Son, Melo clearly trained his son and had trainers teach his son how to play aggressive and gave him all the offensive tools like proper footwork and proper timing etc etc to play free on the court at any height that’s reason he “looks” better than Bronny to most

  7. Excellent take, but Gil said this last year, though. He had Bronny working out with Alijah and a couple other 4/5 stars, and Gil had to play mind games to get Bronny to be aggressive in 1s.

  8. He got to develop that as some players do. Majority of the league is guys who need 3-4 years to get better. Wemby is tall but he one as well. Steve Nash took a while to develop his game and so did many other players.

  9. The biggest problem is he isn't good at the most elite level, like a whole lot of athletes who where much better than him. It's not the end of the world but his father putting so much pressure on him has made it a huge problem

  10. Facts I just seen a comment I been saying the whole time he was never a scorer or aggressive hes supposed to be a 3 n d make the right play kinda guy n develop over time but he’s just looking dirt let’s be real

  11. Bronny should have stayed in school. Bron wanted to play w/ his son so bad. They he missed what was best for Bronny. Well he got the moment of them playing together. But they will not get any more because Bronny is not ready. It would look bad on the Lakers to bring him up from G League until he is a better player.
