For younger people who didn’t see JR play and may think he is overrated and didn’t get the typical hardware or numbers for a HoF’er… He was a real standout in an era where the game started slowing down significantly. He was explosive and unique, could drive plays and score when needed, was great at avoiding traps and had fairly decent defensive ability. Id say he’s was in the top 10 exciting players to watch in the 90s with Lemiuex, Jagr, Hull and Hasek among others.

  2. Way overdo!!! JR was pound for pound the toughest player of his era and a multiple 50 goal scorer. A point per game bad ass!!
