  1. I don’t hate it. Just still wondering where the rest of the money is going. We still need a 3rd basemen unless Rengifo is starting there, and at least 1 great SP and some relievers.

  2. I really like this signing. O’Hoppe needs a good veteran to learn from and as much as I like Thaiss, we’ll get better/most consistent production from d’Arnaud

  3. I want to like this because Travis is awesome and gives O Hoppe someone to rely on. On the other hand, I can’t help but to think of much more pressing needs for 12 million.

  4. Love this signing. O’hoppe was the only catcher under 25 years old who caught more than 1,000 innings last season (1,064.1 which was third highest in the league). It was his first full major league season and probably contributed to his offensive fall off in the second half (125 wRC+ vs. 64 wRC+ 😬), but yet even with that fall off we couldn’t really afford to be without his bat on his scheduled off days.

  5. Can someone explain why the “d” isn’t capitalized? Also, you have to have an apostrophe to be a catcher on our team.

  6. Another… smart signing? For a respected vet? That raises the floor of the 40-man? On a reasonable contract?

I still have a realistic outlook on this season, but… I’m liking what I’m seeing so far.

  7. Wtf we made a good move, what is happening?! Haha

Veteran catcher that O’Hoppe can learn from who will be a backup but is actually good enough to start, if needed – more moves like this one please!

  8. Someone on instagram wrote “Perry out here putting frozen meals in the microwave instead of cooking with gas” lmao!
