I don’t think he was on the radar for this regime. I know he was on Nielsens radar if he had declared one year earlier. But the greater point should be that you need to use real draft resources to improve your line. On top of hitting on those picks you use.Â
Nahhhh….I wanted a 24yo QB with shredded tendons to sit on the bench behind another QB we acquired a couple months earlier for 180 million…I was also hoping for single digit sacks halfway through the season.
Sometimes dreams really do come true.
If we didn’t take Penix we’d have taken Turner or Latu so nah
Where are the nfl-caliber geniuses that said that no rookie would help us with our pass rush?
He would be a totally different player with us. We are where pass rushers go to die. Not sure many big time guys would have near as much success with us
No one will care in 2026 when Penix comes in and throws 36 TDs and leads this team into a deep playoff run
As someone who has been watching the Falcons since the 1990’s, you’ll have a better time if you just accept that no matter who is running things you’re not getting what you want.
All those mock drafts are pointless. No matter how much sense you think it makes it ain’t happening.
Don’t worry. I’m sure in the draft next year we’ll find a way to pick up another first round WR or RB.
