The hell the matter with some of you

  1. I couldn’t fathom the level of cuckery it would take to do this.

You choose your team when you’re 6 and stick with them forever! There’s no switching what the fuck is wrong with America!

  2. I believe most/all of these “hey guys I’m switching teams” and similar posts are false flags lol

  3. Been a fan since I was 8. Closing in on 30 years. Do I hate the choice I made? Absolutely.

But I’m stuck with ’em. I’ll expect them to lose every game and be pleasantly surprised when they don’t.

  4. The Jets suck and always have save for a few occasions.
I root for them and they suck. That in itself sucks. This isn’t fun.

  5. i have been thinking of going over to the vikings like look at how much fun sam darnold is having over there

  6. I liked RGIII coming out of college so I followed him on the Redskins, they were kind of my NFC team. Once he got injured I kind of let it go.

I’ll watch a few more Commie games this year now.

  7. Being a Jets fan has honestly been so healthy for my life, I can’t imagine trading it away. Early season while I still have hope I’ll tune into games, but we get blown out so quickly that I can comfortable turn it off by halftime which creates lots of time for me to catch up on work, run errands, and spend time with my family. By week 6 we’re usually completely out of playoff contention so I’m not tuning in at all! So much more time to invest in other parts of my life without football getting in the way. And as an added benefit I’m usually in a much better mood because I can’t get upset about it if I’m not watching.

Now if someone wanted their football team to be a source of weekly enjoyment and entertainment for the full length of the season (and potentially even the postseason!), I’d understand why they would want to abandon this dumpster fire of a franchise. But I’ve learned that’s not for me, I’m much better off sticking with the Jets.

  8. It’s fine to have a backup team for when the Jets inevitably fall out of the playoff race (Packers with Rodgers was always my go to funny enough) but to straight up switch teams is some pussy shit

  9. I’m hoping that the Jets go back to being the team that when you tell people you’re a fan, they give you sympathy, instead of laughing right in your fucking face like they do now.

  10. Considering the Rodgers era is a failure, we have the longest playoff drought in American sports that will probably last until the 2030s, are consistently dysfunctional, and we still find ways to dick punch the fans each year I cant blame that guy. We are the franchise that deserves it the most.

Maybe if we were another team, id understand you OP, but us loyal fans are the real losers. Im not gonna be like that guy, but I also will support my fellow crabs that manage to leave the bucket.

That said, I wouldnt immediately jump ship to the Lions if I was switching teams even if they are good this year, lol.

  11. I was never into soccer growing up (it was the one sport I didn’t play) so about 5 years back I decided to get into the Premier League. Picked Tottenham because my buddy is an Arsenal fan and I figured I’ll visit London at some point. Give me something to actually look forward to on Sundays!

So that was also a mistake.

  12. wow how dare someone root for another team after 15+ years of absolute misery from this garbage can joke of a franchise.

who are you to decide what or who any other fan roots for? do you think you are better then them because you choose to stick with this flaming pile of shit? if so, wow congratulations pat yourself on the back. enjoy your misery.

I on the other hand will continue to root for the Chiefs (go get those BRady records Pat! and fuck the bills!) , the Lions (a perennial loser franchise that actually did manage to finally turn it around. this is the team we WISH we were), and any other fucking team I want to because I actually enjoy watching the football postseason.

you keep getting butthurt about some stupid fucking meme, you’re a loser

  13. I wish I could just be a bandwagon fan, tbh. But, I just wouldn’t ever really care about another team the way I care about the Jets.

I hate this dog shit franchise, but they’re my team.

  14. I’ll never switch fandom, but I’ve enjoyed watching the Lions the past few years get better and better. They are an incredibly fun team to watch

  15. We’re a bunch of codependent suckers but when did some of us start becoming pussies? This season isn’t anything new.

  16. I’m also a fan of the Giamts, so I’m having a double bad year.

But I’ll never stop cheering for them. Do or die.

  17. Call me crazy but if you are gonna jump ship from a historically bad franchise, the Lions don’t seem like a good choice lol.

  18. Family has had season tickets before I was born and I honestly can’t blame anyone for jumping ship. This team has caused so much pain and disappointment in my life. Going to every home game makes it so much worse. Away games you can turn on Red Zone, change the channel or do something else with your day. But going to our awful stadium in terrible weather with no roof, it’s very rarely ever an enjoyable experience. I’m 31 and if I have kids I’m not forcing them into this.

  20. I don’t blame anyone for dumping the Jets. Watching sports is supposed to be fun, there is nothing fun about being a Jets fan.

  21. As a jets fan I always need a team or two to pull for besides the jets. It’s usually a shitty franchise that got good. Seahawks years ago, lions and commanders now. It gives me hope for the jets. Then I immediately start hating them the second they have real success.

  22. I can agree with switching genuinely at this point. The next rebuild looks very bleak. But this karma farming is cringe as fuck

  23. In our friend/family circle we are either Jets (only me) Giants (my whole family) or Cowboys (one guy) fans. It’s been brutal for all of us. We aren’t jumping ship but we did agree to all cheer for the Lions this year just to have something positive in our football lives together.
