According to Jessica Kleinschmidt on twitter, Rooker’s the first A’s player to win the Silver Slugger (at any position!) since Eric Chavez in 2002.

Damn, I’m going to miss watching Brent Rooker play at the Coliseum especially with his Stevie Nicks walk up song.
I won’t be an A’s fan anymore (unless a crazy miracle happens and they stay in Oakland) but I’ll be keeping up with this roster. They all got bright futures and I’m going to miss them all.
