This next stretch through Christmas should be very important

3 straight super close losses against really good teams but for now I’m willing to chalk it up to injuries and a slow start. But how we come out of this stretch here will tell me a lot about if we need to be panicking about this team or not. If there’s any point in the year where they’ll have a stretch to settle down and start figuring stuff out, it’s here.

  1. I could very well see us entering december with a 7-10 record, the defense doesn’t look promising & we aren’t a good enough shooting team to make up for it

  2. We only had three 3-game losing streaks all of last year. Yes, including before the trades. And the first one came in late December.

Having a three game losing streak this early is not a great sign.

Not to mention we’ve yet to beat a good team.

(Yes, I know we beat Minnesota, but they’re struggling right now so I wouldn’t necessarily call them a good team).

  3. I feel like I’m more positive about the season than usual. Last year we started off the season losing to good teams too until like January. Just kinda seems the norm. What I don’t like is losing DJJ knowing damn well maxi can only play like 25 games a season and trying to replace his size and defense with much shorter placeholders that clearly can’t do what he did defensively. I think that’s gonna come to bite us defense wise.

Everything else though looks fine to me though. Just lost close games. Loving livelys hook shot and passing.
