Who has the highest WAR of a player without any awards on their baseball reference page in the all star game era?

By that I mean a page that looks like this

  1. Brandon Nimmo has 23.3 WAR with no allstar game appearances in the last decade.

Tony Phillips is the all-time answer, with 50 WAR and 0 allstar nods.

  2. Man Oscar Gamble that brings back memories.
The batting stance, the afro, dude was the epitome of 70s baseball
And THE quote about the Yankee clubhouse drama
“They don’t think it be like it is, but it do.”
    legend.

  3. Not the highest WAR, but both Rusty Greer and Bobby Higginson were never all-stars with 20+ WAR careers each.

  4. Gamble gets an award for greatest Afro in baseball history. He should have a plaque just for that.

  5. Denard Span had 27.9 WAR and no all stars. I didn’t check every name just the ones I don’t remember at the game. There might be someone higher (or several!)
