Jaylen Brown with the nifty move for the easy two

  1. It was all cool until his lifted his pivot foot to jump of the other. You need to keep the pivot foot down for this not to be a travel. (I’m a JB fan)

  2. This one is a travel, but only because he slides his right foot after picking up the dribble. I am pretty sure you can pick up your pivot foot going into the shot. Think of a Dirk fadeaway, where he picks up his pivot foot, then shoots.

  3. To avoid a travel, you must either:
    * Shoot or Pass: Release the ball before your pivot foot returns to the floor.
    * Dribble: Start dribbling with your non-pivot foot before returning your pivot foot to the floor.
Remember, the key is to release the ball or start dribbling before your pivot foot touches the ground again.

Maybe his right foot slides a little bit as he is pivoting, but the step through is definitely not a travel since he shot before his pivot foot returned to the floor.

  4. Yep. That’s a travel. You have to step through and jump off both feet at the same time. You can’t step and jump off the front foot. 100% a travel. Still can’t believe we lost to the fucking Hawks. WTF.

  5. Its genuinely embarrassing for this sub how many people are calling this a clear travel.

Two steps into the shot fake, step through into the layup. 100% clean.
