OKC Destined For Championships πŸ†πŸ₯‡

β€œIf [OKC] doesn’t win a championship in the next 6 years that’s a problem.” The Gil’s Arena crew examine how great this team is in comparison to the 2012 Oklahoma City Thunder. They 2021 team might have a better group of players on that OG team but now they have much better team chemistry. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will help carry and lead this team to NBA Finals and NBA Championships. If they don’t win and have success during his time there will be issues.

Gil’s Arena every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 11:30am PT / 2:30pm ET.

  1. Nop,I am sorry. That team should have beat MIA, EXPERIENCE and a LUCKY Revound, which ended up being a key play in that series. 1 possession away from a chip. I disagree

  2. Hahahahaha Gil on that pink cocaine. 2012 OKC only lost the championship bcuz of prime LeBron Wade and Bosh. 2012 OKC beat the Lakers Spurs and Dallas in the playoffs. The 2023 OKC didn’t even make it out the 2nd round. It’s too early to compare them to the 2012 OKC team. The 2012 OKC has a better starting 5 and bench than the new OKC team facts!

  3. The problem is that OKC is a small market. So bigger markets are automatically be more attractive.

So small markets have to win now because the margin of errors to retain those players is slim.

Durant went to Golden State because it's more attractive in any ways possible compare to OKC. Same thing with Paul George going to LA and demanding a trade right after signing a 4 years extension with OKC.

  4. I think the downfall of the 2012 team is a stepping stone on not how to mess up this years team. Don’t wanna lose key guys like JDub or even the bench players.
