  1. This was a shit game against an shit team. Pasta looks like an ice princess on gravel- half of his shoot should be count as shoot. The team can’t deliver a good puck even 5 meter. It was pure luck that Z didn’t get an 5 for elbowing could even been an match penalty and that could have lost the game.

  2. Woop di do

The Bruins didn't show up for two and half periods and they came back and beat one of the NHL's dumpster fires

STL is 3-8 in their last 11 games. The are one of the worst teams in the NHL with the NHL's worst power play who the Bruins still managed to allow two goals to when STL going into last night, hadn't even scored a playoff goal at home this season

The Bruins are still going to be able to beat the NHL's other average and bad teams.

However, they are 4-6 in their 10 games against teams within the current playoff structure and if you think that's bad, don't even come close to looking at their 5×5 metrics in those games or god forbid, their goal differential in those same 10 games #putrid

Nothing about beating a rotten STL team where again, they didn't even show up for two and half periods will change or alter their destiny this year

As for Zegras or any other player with real NHL talent, there's one major thing to consider if the Bruins attempt to trade for any real help at forward or defense…. They simply don't have the assets or Cap Space to do it

No one would give them anything for Fabian Lysell or Georgii Merkulov. They are AHL only guys who have proved nothing in the NHL.

All those two would be is thrown-ins and the Bruins asset situation is in such a terrible state due to Don Sweeney, they have to make Lysell and Merkulov "center pieces" of trades because, well, they're farm system is complete trash and that's all they have in their stable

And if the Bruins keep shipping out 1st and 2nd round picks the farm system will continue to rot away even further from the absolute miserable state that it's already in

Who on the big club roster would they get much for or that they could afford to trade due to their glaring talent issues?

Frederic? A pending UFA that is the definition of average and streaky who is to boot, having a miserable year

Coyle? The ghost come playoff time that is having a miserable year and whose contract could only be moved if Sweeney did what he has to do far too often when it comes time to fix his other mistakes, and that's piss away more assets to move someone?

They aren't trading Marchand, Pasta or McAvoy and they are so talent poor they can't afford to move a guy like Zacha on offense or even Carlo on defense

This team has a talent problem and firing Monty won't change that. As the farm system is trash, they have few roster players they can afford to move or that anyone would want, they are in the Cap Prison Don Sweeney built that has led to this beyond average roster and again, they can't keep trading 1st and 2nd round picks just trying to fix Sweeney's UFA and drafting mistakes

So why again are we talking about trading for Zegras? The Bruins need to be trading away as many vets for as many draft picks and near NHL ready prospects as possible. Sweeney just can't be the guy to make those trades or use the assets they may acquire in any of those types of deals

Sweeney and Neely have had their run, it's over

A decade of their leadership has led to this

-8 of 9 years failing to win more than one playoff round

-ONE, lousy 2nd round series win in 9 years, ONE!

-A team that has been .500 and abysmal at 5×5 since last January

-One of the NHL's worst farm systems, if not the absolute worse. Look who they have to make the 1st call up when they get an injury on D. Osterle, a 32 year old journeyman that only averages 40 NHL games a year and whose a career -59

Worse yet, due to the Bruins have nothing but crap vets, never will be real NHL players and or guys that were late round that are still years away in Providence, this 32 year old crap defender is actually their best option which is frightening

-A Cap Prison Sweeney built that he does not have any easy way out of beyond pissing away even more assets to fix even more of his mistakes

And yep Homers and Sweeney Apologists, a bunch of meaningless regular season wins that did nothing but lead to all of the crap results listed above

Sure, fire Money and let Sweeney, who hired the guy in the first place, hire ihs third coach in just five years (which is always 100% a sign of BAD MANAGEMENT in any sport)

I'm not sure that's going to fix any of their talent problems, in fact it won't

The Bruins won't start winning playoff games and series regularly again until there is change above the ice and anyone that hasn't figured that out yet….

Just look at Sweeney's playoff results, the Cap Jail he built, the lousy roster, the terrible farm system and how right now, SO TODAY, almost ten years after he took over as GM, the Bruins actually have less talent and are even further away from being a real Cup contender than they have at any point in Sweeney's run as GM going back to 2015

Only missing the playoffs will cause the Jacobs to fire Don Sweeney and Cam Neely

Have you seen when those dolts i.e. the Jacobs get questioned about Neely or Sweeney, Jacobs instantly gets so fired up that he's ready to throw any reporter off the top rope should they dare question his, Neely and or Sweeney's crap results

It is what is is. BIG changes are needed and that starts and ends with Sweeney and Neely. Until those changes are made, nothing for the Bruins will in terms of their talent or in terms of their becoming a legit Cup contender again

  3. Bruins r a average team now.cant beat the elite teams now.need a good scoring winger .dump carlo.i liked hamphus on power play but injured now.elias needs to wake up.zacha playing better now.team needs more chemistry.hope we make playoffs

  4. No to Zegras. I’d rather see them keep who they have and iron out the kinks. I like E. Lindholm and it’ll take until January for him to adapt to his best role. Little Z needs to narrow his game and be a sturdy stay home defenseman.
