  1. The G-men will trade Yaz and L.W. Jr. to the Pirates for a top 10 pick and the Giants will eat a few million. They will sign Corbin Burnes and then a H.S. Kim and a backup catcher. They will let Matos, Ramos, J.H. Lee roam the outfield. That's my prediction. I hope they add another starter and especially a Santander. I think they can do that and stay under the luxury tax.

  2. Wade is one of my favourite players but just like Yaz he can't stay healty, and if you want to be competitive you need healthy players. Hopefully they don't dump them just to sign other mid players to multi year deals though, that would instantly make me question Buster

  3. Of course the Giants aren't signing Soto, if they reduce payroll that already tells you enough…cause even if they could still have room for Soto, i don't see why he would come here to play with a vunch of scrubs. Getting Soto wouldn't be even remotely enough to compete, Giants would still have to sign an ace and another big bat or trade for one so, yeah, i don't see them doing it if they reduce payroll, unless they literally trade off almost everyone who is in arbitration, on a double digit deal and somewhat expendable so, at least Wade, Yaz, Taylor Rogers and Ray, maybe Tyler, Doval and Hicks too, cause that's like something from 50 to 70 (if you add the latter three) million dollars in payroll

  4. I always found the argument "don't even try if you don't think you can get player x" weird and dumb…if you don't try, you'll never make it. Some dudes went crazy in the last two off-seasons cause we wasted time on Judge and Ohtani while we could have signed "some other crazy good players"…i would love to know who though, guys like Bellinger? Swanson? Or maybe Soler right? Give me a break…

  5. We should just resign Snell assuming he's getting less money/years than Burns and Fried. Snell at his best is still the better pitcher, he won't cost draft picks and international pool money, he's also historically great against the Dodgers…not saying Fried would be bad, i actually think he's kinda underrated and when he's on he's nasty, but if Snell is going to cost less or basically the same for less years…

  6. If we manage to trade Wade and Flores I think it would make the most sense to sign Carlos Santana; he's cheaper than all the other 1Bs out on the market (~6 million AAV), he's a better defender, he's a switch hitter, he's got plenty of pop, and he'll only be looking for a 1 year deal making him flip-able at the trade deadline should the Giants become sellers, and he will not be blocking Eldridge if Eldridge really impresses at AAA since he'll be 39 years old.

The Issue with trading Yaz in the offseason would be maximizing his value. I think we hold on to Yaz and trade him at the deadline to make way for a McCray/Matos platoon and then move on from there.

  7. You can forget about Soto. He was never going to sign with the Giants. I would hold onto Yaz even if they sign an outfielder. He would be their 4th outfielder. Look how fast Lee went down last season.

  8. Dodgers in on Soto too, so let’s be honest if he wants to win he’d sign with them. Also we haven’t gotten out of that ‘big player funk’ yet…they just don’t come here.

  9. I don't care what the results are regarding cutting these guys – other than signing Snell. If the doyers mange to ink this new pitcher from Japan, then we need to place absolute priority on pitching. Snell is a proven commodity. It's going to take a boat load of money to enter the season with a premier staff – and that's exactly what needs to happen! Oh…and speed is the name of the game on offense. Follow the Brewers roster model. There's an automatic 10-game uptick in the win column in my opinion. Nobody hit over .275, but they took the division going away.

  10. Being that Oracle is a pitcher’s park, they should go all in with pitchers. Re-signing Snell should be a priority. Go after Corbin Burnes and Roki Sasaki. Then sign a bat like Santander. He’s a switch hitter but a good chunk of his homers are from the left side. They also have Meckler and Eldridge in the system. Both left hand hitters with pop. Burnes, Snell, Webb, Sasaki along with Hicks would be the best pitching rotation in the league.

  11. The Giants need to rebuild. How can it get more obvious. Their farm system is very poor and they need prospects. They should should trade anyone they have with any value. They are not winning any time soon!

  12. As a Yankee fan I don’t care where pinchi Soto goes, wants to break the bank and he’s a terrible fielder, but does have an arm. Let the pinchi Dodgers sign him, they seem to want a 4billion dollar team, F them!
