Isn't it 42 months away
He needs to go period. We need scoring. Nelson.palmieri and wahlstrom plus holstrom have to go.
Rebuild time. Hold on to Barzal, Horvat, Sorokin, Romanov. Sell off.
This road trip is crucial to see where we end up… need to go 3-2 at the bare minimum AND play good hockey to reel me back in
This is NOT a playoff team even with #11 and #13 and #3 back in lineup
I would take a mid 1st rounder for any team willing to take both the Pelech and Pulock contracts.
As long as we get a couple of first round picks for Nelson and Palmeri, I really don’t care what happens otherwise.
Lou isn't going anywhere and he has done a decent job for us not sure why everyone wants him gone
This ownership is a joke
This team has needed a retool for years now.
Even if this team made the playoffs, they will be gone within a round, maybe two. They are not a good team. The rebuild needs to start NOW.
If this team is under .500 a week before the deadline they need to sell. Trade the pending free agents like Nelson and Palmeri and you need to get 1st rounders for them, bare minimum. The islanders have such a good core like Barzal, Horvat, Dobson and Sorokin. I think we need to do what the rangers did a few years ago with their retool. That’s a perfect model that they should try to follow.
louzer should be locked away and no where near a phone leading up to tdl cause if isles are in playoff chase that first is gone for some nearing 30 over 30 vet who he will hand a 7 year deal to. A forward heavy first loaded with grade a guys is a bad draft to trade that first away. only deals he should be allowed to make is getting assets for 29, 21 (too late) and hope that maybe a contender might bite on 44 or 27 if isles retain some future $$$'s. Easier to do tdl with desperate gm's out there then off season.
