  1. To be fair to Flacco he still has better stats than Anthony Richardson so far in 2024. More passing yards, TDs and less INTs. I think the Colts are just a blah team these past couple years.

  2. I wonder if it’s the same thing as last year, where the defense knows Rodgers and the offence won’t do anything so they’re checked out

  3. Coaches need to stop making ‘for the rest of the season’ statements. If they mean it, if they don’t, no matter what. It’s high risk low reward anyways!

  4. ngl I hope I'm wrong here, but IMO benching AR was a terrible idea, now he's even further behind on reps (considering he missed most of last year) and will probably look even worse now

  5. Shane Steichen seems like he’s coaching out of fear. Didn’t we see this with the NY Jets and Zac Wilson? Look what happened there to both the QB and head coach.

  6. Flacco: coach this offense is great, I’ve played 3 games and I’m extremely effective at it
Coach: cool Joe, imma change the offense FOR NO REASON and geld you…

  7. If you watch the colts press with HC and AR it's obvious that the reason behind the benching was due to leadership and commitment. The tapping out definitely was the reason.

  8. Gotta be careful not to lose that locker room when you make changes like this. Because I don't see Richardson right now as "better." This smells a bit of Irsay as well…

  9. I'm over the Colts and the debate about which mediocre QB is starting the game. If it's AR, they're 4 years away from contending. If it's Flacco, they're dead in the water. For this season, the Colts are irrelevant.

  10. Richardson doesn't have to throw a lot of passes to beat the Jets..Just run the ball all game and watch the Jets fall all over themselves missing tackles. Send the receivers on go routes and watch them outjump and outposition the Jets, especially Sauce Gardner, the most over rated cornerback in the NFL

  11. On what basis was Richardson taken in the first round in the first place? He wasn’t very good in his limited time in college and he’s had a shoulder injury since high school. I’ve never seen a team use a first round pick on a “project” QB in my life. This is baffling to me.

  12. I said this on my podcast there's no logical reason AR shouldn't start except something internally. Colts are 4-6 and not playoff bound, the offense was worse with Flacco in there these past 2 weeks

  13. I've been a Colts fan since they were in Baltimore. Could it be the biggest problem with the franchise is ownership? I think sports teams should be owned by the city and fans. Putting billionaires in charge of things usually ends in disaster. All that money and power in one person's hands is a terrible idea. Wait. I'm going off on a rant…

  14. This situation is in some ways similar to my job. No direction.. No commitment to THEIR OWN rules.. Making up stuff for their convenience.. Dysfunctional.. it all is familiar. Sure, many of you will say or think "well find another job" but that's not the point. Many workplaces fall short of the basic understanding of THEIR responsibilities to US. Many of our lives depend on them getting it right. They lack accountability, decency, empathy, transparency and most importantly, the people that make them possible. Like one local place near me that played off 1000 people before the holidays. Happens a lot, and why? They know well beforehand things are bleak, they just don't care. Total lack of responsibility.

In many ways I just described the Colts and half of the NFL franchises. With an Owner like the Colts have, they never will truly breakthrough. Richardson may simply not have it, or be an NFL player. But make no mistake, the Colts are responsible for selecting the player and failing to put him in a solid position to succeed, even with some of his own failures. The Colts aren't as bad as other teams but they are messing this up badly. By doing so, are creating uncertainty for the entire franchise.

  15. What the media doesn't understand is, ar was not in shape, wasn't prepared, and the locker room was pissee. He wasn't studying the film or executing the game plan. He needed benched, hopefully he comes in this time ready to be a pro.

  16. In the old days Richardson would have been in front of the team to explain his reasons for tapping out! The benching was a mistake! Put him on the field to deal with the situation he created! He has to learn how to be a leader! We will see if he learned something or not!

  17. The Colts hit the jackpot with Manning and Luck. Now it's time they get what they asked for — Mr 44% completion rate. Let them suffer.

They gave Flacco a 7-2 and an 8-2 team to beat, while they the other guy got 2-7, 2-8, 3-7 teams to beat. And he still couldn't. Free win for the Pathetic Jets and grandpa Rodgers.

  18. Colts blew this thing from the start, they should've just suspended Richardson for one game &left it at that. But they took it too far &now they gotta go back to the 2nd-year player &what if Richardson is even worse then before are they gonna go back to Flacco? The Colts are in the easiest division in football &they're lucky the AFC overall hasn't played very well but this isn't some great team. Develop your young QB &get your offensive-line back to being among the best in the NFL. The things the Colts need aren't that hard to find a true TE and a #2-RB to pair with Taylor they can get that easy but it don't matter if Richardson can't play consistent football
