I think we’re going to see a lot of these types of moves these years. I’m largely sure I read an article that said the plan was to basically run a pretty light NHL team and bring up waiver exempt players for 3-4 game runs. That’s opposed to having Wilsby or whoever just rot in the press box as he’s being healthy scratched game after game.
The goal is to ultimately keep them in the AHL to develop but to give them a little shot of NHL experience. So don’t be super surprised if he gets a short run and then back down into the minors. It’s part of the “rebuild.”
Weird way to spell Molendyk but ok
Wilsby is pretty good tbh. Fast, aggressive offensively… kinda a Stastney lite. They got paired together often early on and that was an excellent duo.
