After all the bad vibes we have been thru let’s talk good vibes. Mich is first in the Calder race. Cutter sucks. Jett has 8p in 6g, Bonk has 13p in 13g, Barkey has 11p in 13g. Errson & Risto are better, Zav looks great. TK is living up to his contract. We have 6 picks in next years top 45. Not bad!

  1. Let’s collectively drop the cutter talk.. we sound like desperate fools who’ve had their hearts broken. Drysdale rocks.

  2. Personally, I think aside from Michkov the biggest thing on this team right now is the emergence of Emil Andrae as an actual NHL defensemen. I don’t know if people that are younger understand that it’s been a really long time since a kid has come up and played this well and with that kind of confidence. Getting rewarded by Torts with PP1 within three games as a rookie defensemen should be looked at as a huge deal if a single trip to the press box warrants sending him to The Hague for war crimes. Obviously consistent high caliber play is the ticket to staying, but it’s nice to see high end play out of him already.

All in all, it’s just nice to have a shiny toy in Michkov and an organizational direction that feels established, regardless of if the fans realize they’re genuinely committed to two years of bad.

None of this is that good for post draft junior seasons. Especially Barkey where under PPG is legitimately bad.

  4. Luchenko going from a 17 year-old with some nice upside to making the roster out of his first training camp has been a crazy jump. I’m not mad he got sent down either. He’s already developing nicely and we have the luxury of letting him develop in juniors. Feels good man

  5. Here’s hoping that Anaheim does its job and derails Cutter’s development to the point that he becomes a perennial reclamation project. I want to see him pass through more hands than a bottle of hooch at a bonfire.

  6. A tale as old as time… Flyers fans convincing themselves that the future is bright and it’ll only be a matter of time before the team is contending for championships.

  7. Look at the draft from 2015, ten years ago. of the top 45 picks in the draft, 40 of them ended up as nhl players. Even if you closed your eyes and randomly took 6 of the 45 top prospects for this year, almost all of them will be nhl players. Likely, we will end up with players that will help us.
