  1. *Since 1990, only five defensive coordinators in their first year with a team have seen an improvement of at least 10 points per game from the previous season. It hasn’t happened since the 2002 Colts with defensive coordinator Ron Meeks and first-year head coach Tony Dungy. The only team to allow fewer points per game than the Chargers (13.1) through nine games of a season in the last decade was the 2019 Patriots (10.9).*

  2. We all knew looking at the schedule that this would be the narrative, and it’s more or less fair. The chargers can prove the doubters wrong over the next few weeks!

  3. They did fairly well against the Chiefs earlier this year but both ours and their offense were still figuring it out. Burrow/Chase/Higgins will be a damn good test.

Regardless it’s so nice watching the defense actually get stops on 3rd down. Last year it was almost a foregone conclusion that we’re giving up a field goal or TD on almost every drive.

  4. We dominated the lesser teams. Thats a step in the right direction. All we can ask for. Last year we would have let the titans score 28.

  5. We’re getting the toughest season next year aren’t we? Is this what suffering from success feels like?

  6. I am nervous because we really have not gone up against a good QB-WR combo, like Burrow and Chase. And last week Levis was able to make a lot of passes. Burrow and Chase will dice us if let that happen again.

  7. The next 5-6 weeks will be THE test for this team if they’re for real or just beat up bad opponents.
