Are The Phoenix Suns Worse Than They Look?

Are The Phoenix Suns Worse Than They Look?

The Phoenix Suns are off to a hot start behind Devin Booker, Bradley Beal and Kevin Durant but the analytics suggest they won’t be able to keep up this pace in the NBA. Is the beginning of the season a mirage or can the Suns keep pace despite their defense and offense only being ranked middle of the pack? Can they keep pace in the stacked Western Conference? Espo, John Voita and Brendon Kleen discuss.

  1. Solar panel helped me get through the pandemic. Shout out to Tim Tompkins vaping up a storm and Mr King being grumpy…those episodes made me happy. Thanks for reminding me of those times

  2. This team is not a true contender. Way too slow and old to be considered one imo. Nurkic was a mistake. Beal not as good as we thought. Booker surprisingly not as efficient as he used to be. OKC and Boston clearly look like the favorites. Golden State possibly another. But I think athleticism is vital to success. Having a lot of 2 way players also needed.

  3. Phoenix suns need to make a trade Jabari walker and Robert William for Grayson Allen Damion lee first round picks James Jones and coach bud got make a decision on offense or adding defense players they going to have to give up a good player

  4. No they’re not worse than the 8-1 start, but there is a major issue at the PF position. Anytime KD is out for longer than 1 week (3-4 games), the team is in trouble. Theres zero backups for KD. Suns need to fix that via a Allen trade for Bobby Portis Jr, DFS, or Boucher.

  5. The loss against the Kings could have been worse! it could have been a situation similar to when the suns played the mavs losing by 33! The Kings smelt blood in the water and took advantage of the injuries. through out that game they fought and came back to eventually have the lead for a minute. Several players stepped up and even though they lost i believe that this was a building moments to help them in future games and eventually when the play in the western conference.

  6. I disagree with the three of you. There’s a reason they haven’t blown anyone out, and the numbers do say why. They need Book and Grayson to be better shooters to fully unlock the offense and the starting lineup doesn’t have anyone who can stop dribble drives on the perimeter

  7. Naw kings are a good team hard to beat when you don’t have Durant and book not playing well it seems like putting him in the pg role last year has him looking to play-make to much but also there schedule has been tough seems like every game is against a playoff team sucks this trio can’t stay healthy
