  1. why is evan acting like were not gonna add multiple players to the roster? he keeps mentioning the players we lost. well we also gained 180 mil or so in cap space putting us at like 130m atm so they have a shit ton to spend on players. theres a world where they get soto, alonso, burnes, bregman fried, winker, manea, sevy and still have money left over for the roster this year. lindor ss soto rf vientos 3b alonso 1b bregman 2b nimmo lf alvy c taylor rf winker DH rotation burnes, fried, senga, manaea, peterson, sevy literally every player here can be a met. likely prob not but with the money coming off the books its 100% possible

  2. Yes it is fair to expect mvp type seasons from your highly paid great all stars every year. Thats why you pay them. If you don’t expect MVP type numbers every year then don’t say them. The great ones consistently do this

  3. The Mets are the overachievers of the league. If they came back with the exact same roster in 2025 and ended the season around .500 and missing out on the postseason I wouldn't be surprised; although on the other hand, if they ended up playing the Dodgers for the pennant again that wouldn't surprise me either. As an aside, could someone show Jeff McNeil either how to grow a proper beard or how to shave? Either way, one or the other.

  4. They LOST because of GOOFY ASS JOSH HART. Period. We can ALL LOOK BACK at the complete game and say it was a lazy ass debacle display of basketball, and some of that blame is on COACHING as well, BUT when it came to WINNING THE GAME, 1 person was responsible for THAT LOST. It all started with the pushing and shoving with Zack Lavine with 4 seconds to go and UP BY 2 POINTS! Chill out, son! We have the game in our pockets after ALL OF THIS AMAZING WORK from coming back DOWN 23 POINTS. 🤦🏿🤦🏿🤦🏿 A COMPLETE CLOWN MOVE. 🤡

  5. Mets can’t afford to wait on soto we need pitching we are not 1 player away we need many players let stearns do what we brought him in to do rebuild the farm system

  6. He is not wrong. The Mets to win it all need to go big game hunting and aquire serious talent on all levels of offense, pitching, versatility and speed that changes the game for them and the franchise

  7. I think this is the wrong take. I think they need to identify the long term deals for the right players for long term improvements for the team and surround them with similar short term contracts I don’t want a long term big contract all over the place we need the right big pieces and small moves to make a good team

Yes that mighty mean we take a half step back but we can’t just play for next year this off season

  8. And so the pendulum swings: when you think the Mets should be dead and even their biggest fans think they’re dead, they overachieve and create “happy memories”. When the hype is real and high as kites, the Mets then proceed to smash their fans balls in with a hammer.

    And so the cycle continues.

  9. Sounds like what these tools were saying in the spring. You're dead wrong! Seinfeld is a real fan. He understands that chemistry and cohesiveness is way more valuable than Juan Soto. Same guy who was complaining cuz we didn't sign Montgomery. Mets need a few pieces and the rest can come from the farm system. Evan, BT, Sal.. They all think Cohen should spend just for the hell of it.

  10. 32 EMPTY home runs from Pete. Easy to replace his lack of production. That guy did NOTHING to contribute to winning this season!! How do you replace his ego and his declining numbers every season? Smh.. Lindor was the All-Star and if Pete was a real leader, he would have given his spot to Lindor. Instead of manipulating MLB to get there. I don't want that guy anywhere near my team anymore!! 32 useless home runs.

  11. The Mets got two games from going to the WS during a "low-expectation" year with what they had available and a little bit of spending after the break, nothing crazy. Now imagine the Mets with a decent amount of prospects ready to play or trade, Capt.Lindor's leadership in the clubhouse, some returning favorites (Alonso and Manaea aren't going anywhere & definitely a few more players), plus Uncle Stevie – who said a couple of months ago he planned on getting more involved with the team – and his big ol' bag of FU money. Now imagine that AND signing Soto!

Point is: Cohen's been serious from jump, and Stearns was already cooking before the off season. There's nothing to worry about, Evan – LET 'EM COOK!!!!!

  12. Evan is a jackwad. OST NY fans are. They’re just their own #1 fans and for some cockamamie reason they actually believe they’re the most intelligent baseball fans in America (what an absolute joke that one is). The Mets are perfectly fine right now. David Stearns has all my trust 100%. Evan certainly does not.
