  1. I have a question. Let's say the Braves give Max the money he wants but not 6 years. Why is the 6th year is such a big deal. You're the same amount of money. What you're getting paid by each year isn't that much.more money each year. So why is such big deal?

  2. love your moves GM jake, i think they do something very similar to what you said. i think the big move will be a big arm. by the way, if they do what you said, trade for Crochet and don't resign him right away, they could actually reset their CBT threshold this year while not losing much. But Crochet did say at the trade deadline he wouldn't pitch in the playoffs if he was dealt to a playoff team without an extension so I think if AA were to deal for him, he might extend him right away.

  3. I also don't like the luxury tax. If I understood correctly that money or some of it goes to smaller market teams. If that's the case. That's why I don't like it. Do you think that tax should be eliminated. I think a team should spend as much as they can and want. The teams like Mets ,Yankees Redsox and western teams in the national league yes . But mid and small teams no.

  4. DirecTV has an exclusive subscription package with Major League baseball. It's called MLB extra innings. 29.00 per month for the 6 month season. Roughly 175.00 per year. All 30 of MLB teams out of market. Besides satellite dish DirecTV also has streaming now. Just a suggestion for all of my Braves family out there who has a hard time finding Braves on TV. (And no, I don't work for DirecTV, lol).

  5. Trienien and not because I know him and his family personally because he has big time stuff and has experience. I also like the trade for crochet get a hernandez for the OF and maybe Kim for SS or Castro

  6. The problem with acquiring Crochet is that the White Sox want position players with offensive potential. The Braves just don't match well and as good as the package of AJSS, Waldrep, Ritchie and Nacho is, other teams can likely come up with a package more attractive to them

  7. With the exception of Harris (IF healthy) and MAYBE Riley, is there a WINNING core??? I don't think Olson, Acuña (WHEN healthy), Albies and Ozuna are winners when it matters most. Those four players have done NOTHING in the past three playoff campaigns. They collectively bite the bone when September becomes October. NEWS FLASH: they REALLY miss a WINNER like Freddie Freeman, and MAYBE, just maybe, they should have traded Ozuna away for SOMETHING rather than give away Jorge Soler to the Angels for a fungo bat and a bag of used orange balls. 2021 seems like light years away now, and there is NO ONE left from that team that I could depend on when REAL Fall begins. AA screwed the pooch at 1B royally.

  8. I do believe they are prepared to go over the luxury tax or they would have cut even more payroll, especially with arbitration players coming in.
I will say, they need either a starting outfielder or a shortstop. Can’t have Arcia and Kelenic in the same lineup too many times, especially when you don’t know what you have in Acuna next season.
