Ayo, Coby, Zach, Pat & Vuc. It’s that simple. Let Ayo and Coby play pg by committee and watch both of their numbers increase, as they did last year.
Maybe the Bulls should have traded for Dyson Daniels. And his defensive skills.

You can infer pretty much what you want from such a small stats window – realistically Giddey has played just 10 games at the Bulls and ~ 280 minutes on court. What you want to see as the season progresses is an upward progression whereby the +/- improves as the playing group/various rotations gets more familiar with each other. If Giddey had clocked 100 games at the Bulls and 3000 minutes on the court with the roster, then the +/- removing the 5% outliers is likely far more telling and useful to make a conclusion from. You want to determine whether LaVine and Vucevic and cohort are better with or without Giddey on the court. From a defense perspective, Giddey is always going to be beat in a switch play by an agile explosive guard like a Donovan Mitchell – as would most NBA players his weight/size – think Luka. There is not a lot you can do unless you have an excellent rim protector to cover your back (like a Chet Holmgren).
This aged well. Josh Giddey with a +19 today versus Knicks – and a 1 point win. This is why stats from such a small sample size and after such few games is stupid. Giddey is overall -65 after 12 games – with an average of -5.4 on a team with 5 wins and 7 losses. Ayo Dosunmu with a minus 21 today – and an overall -71 with an average of -6.5. Not sure why these 'expert' commentators are so fixed on Giddey – he is an easy target. The job of the coach is to win the game and manage your player resources in the process to keep them healthy and effective. Giddey gives the team structure, a stabilising effect, and smarts – making the extra pass and finding the open person. Of course there are going to be times in the game where it does not make sense for him, or pick any player for that matter, to be on the floor based on who the opposition has on the floor, the tempo of the game, and who has the offensive momentum. Just because you can put on the floor a team of five individuals that are faster and can jump higher doesn't mean you are going to get a better outcome offensively too though. Composure and patience and getting a teammate an open look will generally win out over individual one and done style basketball. There could be a few passes that don't stick that lead to turnovers – but an off-balance layup or forced shot that is never going in has the exact same effect – the opposition getting the ball.
That’s interesting because we look so good when he’s out there. Guys cut and the ball moves and he hits those big floaters.
Compare stats over an NBA career, not 10 games.. how stupid you guys are… Josh is 3 years younger than Ayo and his career stats leave Ayo in the dust… Id expect better from supposedly NBA pundits
