  2. the Red Wings last year were 8th in the league in 5v5 goals. this year they are 31st (they are also 31st in total goals despite being top 10 in the power play; impressive accomplishment). the swapping out of personnel (Fabbri, Sprong, Perron, Ghost, Walman) for other personnel (Tarasenko, Berggren, Motte, Gustafsson, Edvinsson/Johansson) does not really account for that absurd a drop. Players and lines that were scoring a lot at 5v5 last year suddenly do not score at all.

    Derek Lalonde should be fired immediately.

  4. Also the team gets noticeably worse results with the Raymond version of the top line. Neither Ray nor Larkin has scored a goal on that line in 9 or 10 games of it. If you go through and look game by game at results, the few wins with that top line were all games in which Kane scored a goal, had multi-points, etc, either on line 2 or on the power play. There has not been one single victory this year driven by the Ray Larkin Cat top line. Not even one. It is what it is. They looked like that all preseason and we were told hey it's just preseason.

    Derek gave them the putrid Pittsburgh defense probably assuming they'd finally go off and help him justify his lineups, but they didn't. Now he will give them the putrid Sharks and Ducks w the same hope. If they pot a few goals vs these dead teams he will feel vindicated and we will see that top line for the rest of the year. Team is being held hostage by its coach in lineups and systems. Has to go.

  5. That is insane what was reported about the deal with Amazon Prime. No details on a subscription yet, but u will need a prime membership for sure. But u can buy individual games for $6.99 oer game, plus an Amazon Prime membership. Who in their right mind would pay $7 for a game??? I dropped Amazon prime 6 months ago when they wanted more money to have an ad free experience. Im sure in the hell am not going to pay a membership and $7 for a game. Not sure paying $15 or $20 a month just for WIngs game is worth it. I was hopeful they would make it reasonable. Guess im gonna continue stream ripping sports, sigh.

  11. Am I the only person who prefers our Locked On boys over the Winged Wheel podcast? I like the WWP guys, but they're getting a bit too close to the organization itself. It's almost like they're becoming another piece of the Wings mainstream media. You guys still have that independent analysis feel. It's more authentic and the analysis is more realistic and honest. Plus, neither of you are as depressing and negative as Brad is on the Winged Wheel Podcast.

  18. Fire Derek Lalonde! He is awful at line match ups, line changes and his system sucks. The dump and chase is a waste of time and this team will not improve under him. There is a lot of the same player on this team, seems to be a prototype, you know the guy that can't possess the puck, can't dump and chase, can't pass worth a shit, can't shoot the puck worth a shit, can't get the puck out of their own end worth a shit. Larkin,Debrincat,kane,Raymond, Sieder, Kasper, Edvidsson are the only sparks on this team, the rest of the guys are all checking line players but can't even really check. Ville Husso needs to be released he has sucked since the first month he was with the team. Bring up Cossa, ffs how long does it take to develop someone who has been playing the same position at a high level their whole life?
