The team’s outrageous offer is highlighted by the winner, aka the “Charlie Bucket” of the sweepstakes, getting access to coveted seats behind home plate at PNC Park for the next 30 years!
The lucky recipient also gets an exclusive meet-and-greet with Skenes and two autographed Skenes jerseys, plus the ability to host a softball game with 30 of the winner’s favorite people at PNC Park.
Baseball fans around the world will be hunting for an autographed Topps Chrome card featuring an MLB debut patch on the jersey Skenes wore in his first big league game on May 11, 2024.
No way this offer gets accepted by the person who pulls it. Who wants to have 4860 pirates tickets to get rid of?
30 years of pirates season tickets seems more like a punishment honestly
As a longtime glutton for punishment Pirates fan I’d take this deal in a second.
I know the pirates are usually shit but I’m young enough to not be totally jaded by them, I’m taking this trade in a heartbeat
I would take this deal and move to Pittsburg honestly.
For those of you that aren’t baseball card enthusiasts, these MLB debut patch cards are exclusive to Topps Chrome Update boxes. There are about 250 or so rookies with patch cards in this years product, with the top names being Skenes, Holliday, Chourio, Langford, and Merrill – to name a few. These boxes aren’t cheap in that Topps sold out of all types of boxes (Hobby, Jumbo, Breakers Delight, Mega) all within days of launch. Can still find these on secondary sites though if looking to gamble. Mega boxes are the cheapest and worst odds of getting a Debut patch card ($60) while Jumbos will set you back over $500 now.
I’d donate the card to the Pirates and just take my daughter to a game with Livvy because she’s also a gymnast, an LSU fan, and a Livvy Dunne fan.
Tax bill on that is going to be insane.
I tried to look up the manufacturing details. Nothing on exactly how many cards were produced total. But this information can give you an idea on how much the price of finding this card is.
Card Set – Debut Patch
Total Cards – 251
Numbered – 1/1
Hobby Odds 1:28,105 (96 cards $289.95)
Jumbo Odds 1:4,985 (132 cards $419.99)
Breaker Delight Odds 1:446 (12 cards $489.95)
Retail Odds 1:336,040 (couldnt find info on retail boxes)
So, obviously, to find this one of a kind card it could be upwards of $100,000-$200,000 if you want to brute force your way into buying all the boxes available but then again, some kid might find it in a $10 pack.
I would sell the card to a pirates fan who really really wants that lifetime ticket and I wouldnt scalp him just pay me what you can, guy.

Like Willy Wonka’s famous golden ticket, the MLB team is offering a scrumdiddlyumptious prize in exchange for a rare, [one-of-a-kind baseball card of their star pitcher Paul Skenes](https://www.cnn.com/2024/11/15/sport/pittsburgh-pirates-paul-skenes-baseball-card-spt-intl/index.html?utm_medium=social&utm_source=reddit). Whoever finds the card will be tempted by a mouth-watering proposition.
