  1. Shit's gettin old! Im tired of my team sucking, and i doubt ill hear many arguments this time, our team sucks. We need to replace Armia, Dvorak, Anderson, Dach, Newhook, Struble, Barron, and Primeau, and maybe Monty too, or maybe keep him as a back up. I guess it would have been easier to say who we should keep. That's NINE players we need to shed. So much for being "in the mix" this year…

  2. At this rate MSL will set a record for the coach with the least amount of wins in a single season. Not sure what the management is trying to prove here. It is not working out.

  3. this rebuild can take over decade if they wont start playing like a team (seeing and using teamates with good and right passes instead of running to a wall of players and looses puck or just saying hallo to their goaly). so frustrating… so potential and so selfishness (caufield and matheson win)

  4. St. Louis is a shitty coach. Hope he enjoyed getting to pick his employer as a player cause no one is going to want him behind the bench — unless they like watching young talent go to waste.

  5. When a team is struggling, you simplify, hit everything that moves and shoot the puck every chance you get. It requires full out skating every shift, give and go and did I mention hit everything that moves. That is where it starts.

  6. Man. Do I feel like 2 slapped ass cheeks saying the team was going make some teams work for a win. Not in a playoff spot, but just enough of a menace to trap a team or 2 into thinking it would be easy.

Making me feel the same way after eating a feed a jigs on Sunday.

  7. MSL on the hot seat. These Quebec star players who never gave a thought to actually playing for the CH deserve the minimum of grace while learning how to be coaches
Clear him out now. Save the season.

  8. With the market, it's gonna take us more year to finally get it going. Unless the boys pull off a miracle run for the playoffs.

Either way, I like this team.

  9. So going into the preseason I thought if they could muster challenge for a playoff spot I'd be happy but I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't.

Then I got swept up in the preseason and was really hopeful that they'd make the playoffs.

Reality check. So let's take some positives. They're almost a quarter of the way through the season and they seem to have at least figured out special teams. They are currently 9th in PP% and 18th in PK%. Not last, which is good. There biggest problem from what I can see is their general organization in their own end both with the puck and without and it's a big problem to have. It's a coaching problem. Not putting blame on MSL. Maybe it's a new system for them and, once they figure it out, they'll get back in the mix.

Last night, as boring as the first period was, that's how you play a road game, slow down the home team and take the fans out of it. They made some key mistakes as they tend to, and weren't as creative around the net as they normally were, but Minnesota is a legit contender this year. They've been building this team for a while. I just hope the Montreal management can ignore the rabid fanbase and keep their vision.

    Great content as always.
