  1. The issue isn't the fact that they are bad in their third season, no one genuinely expected them to make the playoffs. The issue is that they are far worse than the two previous years of the rebuild so far this season. That's the part that worries everyone

Edit: Turns out the article guy did end up saying that later on.

  2. To me it seems like St. Louis has lost the room.

It’s understandable, he gives ice time to players who do not deserve ice time, which is the other player see. Players sat for no apparent reason.

My favourite St. Louis move is breaking up the first line Why would he do that? It was a legitimate first line.

And Wi-Fi should never be out of the lineup. Unless we want our players beaten up. Lane Hutson could be ruined by St. Louis with the amount of ice time he’s getting. He skates really well but he needs time.

  3. Last year the games were a lot closer and the habs had some fight in them by keeping games close. It was also great to see Slaf's progression. This year I don't see any of that

  4. WE HAVE A WHOLE BUNCH OF MIDGET PLAYERS NOBODY HITS ANYBODY THEY ARE SO NERVOUS AND DONT KEEP THE PUCK GET RID OF IT ALL THE TIME DUMPING THE PUCK WHEN YOUR PLAYYERS ARE A BUNCH OF MIDGET IS THE WORST OF IDEA. iF I WAS THE COACH AND I SAW A DEFENSEMAN PASSING THE PUCK ON THE BOARD WHEN THE WINGER ALREADY HAS A MAN ON HIM I WOULD SIT HIM FOR THE REST OF THE GAME .IF THEY ARE NOT TALENTED ENOUGH TO SKATE AND MAKE A NICE PAS TO AN OPEN PLAYER THEN SEND THEM TO THE MINORS.THE SECOND THE THIRD AND THE FOURTH LINE NEVER SCORE, ON POWER PLAY TAKE NUMBER 8 AND MAKE HIM A FORWARD RT WING THAT WAY HE WONT LOOSE THE PUCK AT THE BLUE LINE, AND FOR GOD'S SAKE DONT PUT SAVARD ON THE ICE 4 AGAINST 5 HE CANT MOVE , HE IS BLINDING THE GOALY HE'S SO FAT ,HE'S LIKE A BIG TURTLE ON THE ICE.THE PROBLEM IS YOU GOT 6 PLAYERS RIGHT NOW THE REST ARE ALL THE SAME : CAUFIELD, SUZUKI, LANE HUDSON, DACK, KUHLE, JACKY YOUR IN TROUBLE ALL THOSE SUPOSED YOUNG PLAYERS YOU CHOSE ARE NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR A SECOND LINE, MEANWHILE IN THE MINORS YOU HAVE MAILLOUX AND ROY , REINBACKER THAT ARE BETTER THAN WHAT YOU HAVE UPSTAIRS, RT NOW YOU PLAY WEAKER THAN LAST YEAR. ITS TERRIBLE TO WATCH. I CHANGE CHANNEL AND WATCH THE HIGHLIGHTS ONLY.

  5. Goalies are our problem 100% 5goals on 18shots today… N it was Buffalo not even a good team lol we went from Roy to Theodore to huet to price…. To nobody for like 8years now

  6. Breaking up the lines is not a bad thing. Caufield, Suzuki and slafkovsky isn’t bad. Last year, that was the only line they had. Now they have to bring Gallagher back into the top 2 lines

  7. The Montreal crowd is panicking because of what was said at the training camp where the internal expectations where to be in the mix, It's more a disappointment due to it not being quick rebuild. We forget it took The Avs a decade to win a cup after drafting Mckinnon, and Slaf is far from being that caliber of a player even if he is a good player in his own right. I think the outlier was last year not this year… Our defense is still way to inexperienced, and we are lacking in global offensive tools even if we have good pieces… then there is the goalie situation where realistically we pay both of our goalies less than 4 millions combined. Habs are where they belong standing & performance wise,

  8. The problem is: slafkovsky isn’t the presence he was last year, dach is awful defensively and bad offensively, xhekaj is a non-factor and hasn’t been great defensively, Savard and Matheson have had troubles defensively newhook isn’t doing much our overall defensive structure is at one of its worse points in the last 3 years

  9. In my eyes, losing is not what bothers me. The problem, from my perspective, is that some players don’t seem to play at the levels they are capable of. They don’t have to beat the opponent; they have to avoid preventable mistakes. I like the idea that “fans want to be amused,” and it correlates with the idea that we (fans) don’t want to see plays that look like the players don’t care.

  10. the problem is any fan who says the word rebuild isnt a true habs fan. yea i said it!!! habs with the right management or owners get guys who play hard & give winning a chance every night… i know bergeron screwed us with these contracts & players, but its the owner who hired the him & let him run the show & its the new gm & coaches who keep playing these scrubbs ( savard , armia , devorak, gallagher, anderson, mathison & so on ) let the roys & owen becks play !!!! stick them others in the booth or buy them out

  11. It was a fun game today. goalies were god awful for both teams but it was fun. I don't think we will be a contender anytime soon with Monty or Primeau. Habs gotta score 6 goals to win because you know the goalies will let in 5.

And yes. They were not bringing the entertainment and trying. You can't be charging 275 dollars a ticket. 375 a jersey. 16 dollars a hot dog and 27 dollars a bear and expect fans to tolerate this for 4 years. We are not Arizona. We are the Habs and they have expectations to uphold. The fans are mad and they have every right to be.

  12. If Michael Hage was available in 2025 draft, would he be considered as top10?

Also, is Hage superior as a center to Ivan Ryabkin or Michael Misa or Antin Frondell ?

Finally, who has most upside in their draft year:
    Caleb Desnoyers 2025
    or Sasha Boivert 2024 ?

  13. Problem is Hughes drafting and trading all bad players except last year (by luck) and Hutson.

Barron, Reinbacher, Masar, Newhook, and drafting offensive player in defensive drating pool year. Etc. Just bad mistakes.
