The Panthers are coming off a 6-2 loss to the Devils; Winnipeg (15-2-0) lost to the Lightning.

Maurice spent parts of nine years as coach of the Jets; he is 0-3-1 against Winnipeg as coach of the Panthers.

Thursday, Jesper Boqvist and Sam Reinhart scored for the Panthers as it was 2-2 in the second. New Jersey was 3-for-5 on the power play and killed all five of Florida’s chances.

Sergei Bobrovsky made 23 saves.

The Winnipeg Jets are in Sunrise on Saturday; Florida travels to Winnipeg on Tuesday.
