8. NO! Or at least I hope not. Not only for his past racist, anti-gay and misogynistic emails. But I’d rather have Rex Ryan. First of all, Rex loves the Jets and wants the job. And two, he, more than any other JETS coach in my life has brought the JETS closer to the Super Bowl. Two years in a row to the AFC Championship. Gruden comes with too much baggage. I am so sick of chaos & baggage with this organization. Interview others. And I hope Rex gets it.

10. Gruden isn't such a good HC. After the Raiders fired him they did a lot better with his replacement. They may not have to wait, but, the league may not let him coach again. A lot of people want Jets to hire an experienced offensive coach. Jets haven't had that much success with HCs that come from the offensive side of the ball.

13. Dont like him, dont want him. Way too much personality for this team. At that point I would rather just rehire Rex. Offensive coach with head coaching experience would be preferred. Gruden just doesn’t seem it to me. Just sounds like more media cancer to me. Just my opinion.

19. I don't know too much about Gruden from his approach and philosophy ..i know he is respected but i believe he had some issues with certain comments he made. I prefer Rex Ryan with a proven OC . but that's just me.

25. A record of 117 wins and 112 losses with a past of controversy which made him resign his last coaching job makes him a bad choice. The game has passed Gruden by and he would be out coached. Hiring Gruden would be one of the Jetiest Jet move by the Jets.

26. I think the Gruden pros outweigh the cons. His personality can handle the NY market, including the backlash of rubbing people the wrong way. His love of football and getting the fundamentals right would help us. And he brings PASSION and DISCIPLINE, which we sorely lack and desperately need.
